Addon Spotlight: ElvUI {WoW}

Nov 22nd 2010 5:23AM Addon Control Panel (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/acp.aspx) can help you out with this, and you wouldn't need two game installs. ACP allows you to define addon sets that you can load up as required. Just configure one addon set for this UI and another addon set for your normal UI.

May 25th 2010 6:31AM Totally agree.

A few days ago we wiped HHoR at first boss. We talked for a bit, changed the strategy a bit and then we succeeded without any other wipes. The tank was a bit undergeared but he was really good overall. Considering this, just because we wiped at the first boss we didn't give up and had a really good time the 2nd time around.

Unrelated: The other day we did 2 normal runs for the guild and it was amazing how easy it was compared to heroic :) We had a 2k gs pala healer with us and had no problem at all thanks to an overgeared dk tank.

Breakfast Topic: Death by death knight {WoW}

May 17th 2010 8:31AM I hate rogues. PVP death from rogues is the most painful one, psychologically. Sap, bleed, hack. You're dead before you can react. The feeling of powerlessness is unforgiving on my mind. Of coure, when your trinkets are on cooldown.

I'm considering leveling a pvp rogue in the future, to get back at the world for all the abuse :D

AddOn Spotlight: Community Choice 1 {WoW}

Apr 2nd 2010 6:28AM Grid is awesome, for healers and non-healers alike. I use GridClickSets as a healer, because it seems a lot easier to configure. But there is something I really _hate_ about Grid. In the config section they really need to implement a status/indicator checkbox matrix for easier configuration. At least make it an advanced configuration option. Scrolling through all indicators to try to figure out where a given status is shown -- that's just cruel.

AddOn Spotlight: Castbars {WoW}

Mar 17th 2010 11:24AM Thanks for the comment. My main is a pally and I have been using ZOMGBuffs all this time, thinking that it should do the job. I raid only casually and I never know that PallyPower was the defacto for pally buffs, I assumed that me setting up the buffs would be enough. I will start investing r&d into PallyPower, I assume it would do everything ZOMGBuffs does but it's more commonly used/expected and better at communication? I really like the idea that the raid leader should be able to setup the buffs for the group and the mod just obey.

I always keep all buffs up thanks to ZOMGB, and it also has a communication module, but it's never used, so what ends up happening is that I get buff change requests on chat instead of directly via ZOMGB. ZOMGB is also quite cumbersome to use.
