Feb 15th 2012 1:08PM This could be good for the money stream to back the game, or be a tell tell sign of an underwhelming MMO. DCUO comes to mind.
Sep 23rd 2011 8:33PM Pvp is a vast topic, not just a bg or a class. There is so much that can be hit on with pvp I don't think it's fair to just try a shoe horn the subject. Strats, comps, class mechanics, balancing of the game, talents, tips tricks, ui's & add ons, lore etc etc... Pvp has many avenues that can be touched on it doesn't have to be confined to just what arena junkies post. Insider has some very talented writers on their staff and I know they could generate some solid content based around pvp. I know Rossi will touch on it and chase but it is not those guys focus by no means, and I am not saying it has to be, I am just wishing we had a few more pvp bloggers rocking out some goodness more often n the site. No need to be defensive I am on the communities side., my initial q was just something to grab some attention. Cause I do ask it here all the time to no avail.
Sep 23rd 2011 2:35PM To be fair I have asked why such a lack of pvp content on this site several times and never get a response. I like wow insider and enjoy their coverage of the game but it's apparent that none of the writers take pvp serious and just wonder why they have not brought people on board who do play wow's pvp content. This isn't vanilla anymore and pvp is not an after thought for the devs or player base, it's the driving force behind many subscriptions and I personally would like to see my favorite fan site take a serious stab at tackling pvp. I feel as if it is something worth addressing. And yes it was bait rhetorical but let's be honest we all know clickers hate pvp.....
Sep 23rd 2011 1:12PM Why does wow insider hate pvp. Are you all clickers or something?
Aug 10th 2011 8:20PM This a touchy subject, simply bc it is a very REAL subject that can cause some serious inner turmoil. I am the father of a 8,4 and 2 week old, all boys. I am also an engineer for an international company. So I have some serious responsibilities yet I love gaming and wow is my game of choice. I have told myself that maybe I should stop playing but I feel that if I was to do so it would be the only true "me" thing I really have left. I dont party I have no friends outside of coworkers and my kids friends parents, I don't have any real "hobbies" outside of m few hours of wow a week. I just don't have the time. I could spend several hours at a time playing but I don't. I try to schedule my time around my sons bed time and late weekend nights. The downside is my lack of making commitments in the game, I have played for 5 years I am very skilled with my class, yet I have no chance of ever downing the latest boss or grabbing a prestigious pvp title simply because those things call for commitment to others and I have very real responsibilities and commitments outside of the game. This is a bit depressing I will admit, I love wow and really want to be more involved with the epic side of the game yet I cannot. But never the less knave a beautiful family and good job and still can pwn noobs on the weekend :) ...... Grats to all who share my burden.
Aug 9th 2011 9:43PM Let me be clear, don't be a sore loser tho and rage then u just look defeated and foolish
Aug 9th 2011 9:40PM I think this might be easy to say for someone who has "been there done that" .. But tbh it is really competitive and let's be honest the game is most often enjoyed when your on top... I know ppl like to the throw around, "it's just a game, have fun" but in the spirit of REAL competition it's only really fun on top... I wouldn't que for arena unless I planned on or wanted to succeed.
Aug 9th 2011 8:15AM Im married with kids, which translates into very few wow friends so when I use to do pve content I was more often then not pugging, but this behavior that you described is what has turned me to strictly pvp these days. I don't even enjoying tanking because u usually at least get one dps who does nothing but watch his recount or the occasional healer who wants to try and dictate things these ppl are annoying and yes 1 out of every 3 tanks are usually divas.... Much like the nerd rage in random bgs yet that nerd does not have the power change the game for u so it's more humorous rather then frustrating... This attitude is not exclusive to wow either every mom has these douchebags.
Aug 1st 2011 2:29PM Q 4 Q: when will we be able to ctrl click on mounts at the vendors to see what our toon looks like on them much like we can with our gear.... Sounds petty but it's something to ponder.
