Breakfast Topic: What's your favorite 5-man instance of all time? {WoW}
Dec 11th 2011 8:38AM I think I would have to stick with Deadmines and Gnomergan, although this may be because I've always been a horde player. There was nothing better while leveling than finding a group committed to doing one of these and trekking across the world killing alliance to get there (before the group finder ofc). I think the journey made the instance itself so much more epic.

Jan 6th 2011 10:32AM Downing Kael'thas in BC, imo the hardest boss of the expansion (although I didn't play for the better part of the sunwell patch)
The guild I was in at the time had very good progression and taking that boss really made the guild what it was as there were plenty of guilds that had been on Kael for months and made no headway. Making the down way before the removal of the attunement made it much cooler as well.
This, closely followed by the archimonde and illidan kills that followed a while after

Aug 2nd 2010 11:58AM I'm thinking I'll just end up finding a high spot on top of a mountain somewhere so I can get a good surprising view on first log on.
On top of the barrens or something would do nicely, the mounts between mulgore/barrens would give a good view of the aftermath.

with the ease of completing raids with fuck all trash and easy gear/bosses, as well as the increase in importance of gear with gearscore, most people that raid that i know of do it just for the soon-to-be out of date shiny purples, and because of lack of other things to do.

Mar 26th 2010 1:52PM I'm not sure about in wrath, but in TBC it was underneath the bridges in shattrath, was just a relaxing little place to pirch my druid in, and it was close enough to all of the common things like battlemasters etc...
Breakfast Topic: Rebuilding {WoW}
Mar 15th 2010 8:50AM was a Feral tank in TBC, spent months working my way up my guild (which was still the funnest guild ever imo) and then eventually was one of the most important people in the raid, with the due respect etc. We progressed through SSC and TK, had just killed Archi and some of early BT and then I had a two-week holiday, followed by major internet problems for two weeks after. By the time I was back I had lost out on much of the T6 drops, leaving myself with still only one piece, and the only way I could get back into the raid after the gap in gear that had been made was to farm and become a flame tank against Illidan. Losing that much of a position eventually led me to quite as I couldn't be bothered to work to regain my position again.
