Eh. I think that if a good developer were to be able to devote enough time on it that they'd figure out a way to incorporate the multiple faction vs faction warfare.
However, it's probably best if Relic just sticks to WH40K RTSes or whatnot.
Mar 28th 2012 11:08AM EvE is interesting, but that's about as far as it goes for me. I tried the trial, played for awhile, and... yeah...
The UI is basically a massively complex clusterfuck and they really do not explain how to do anything at all outside of basic tutorial stuff.
That and the game seems to require a -lot- of time investment to make the game even worth it. More than most MMOs do. It's very much a point and click game which... isn't my cup of tea when I think of space combat with ships and such.
It also seems to be a game that's basically set around trying to screw over other players who aren't within your circle of friends/allies, and even those people can get screwed over if you really feel like doing so.
Maybe if they did a Pirate-themed version where it's sea battles and such I'd find it more interesting.

Mar 25th 2012 1:54PM RotMG is good for when you're bored and want something quick to bring up and play. It's a bit mindless, yet at the same time it's very deep and fast-paced. Also, death is good in a way because through leveling up different classes you unlock new classes, and then you can find one you enjoy playing and just stick to that one.
Though I do agree that it's only really fun in small doses.

Wonder how long it will take before WoW players are finally killing off Titans at level 1000.

Eh, it's not that bad. At least Trion's trying to create a story from basically nothing. Rather than taking an existing story (Warcraft, LotR, Warhammer, Star Wars, and so on) and shitting on it.
And unlike in WoW, it sounds like (due to not getting there myself yet) these dragons are -tough- and are not just a DPS race like a certain world-destroying Dragon's fight was in Cataclysm.

Hell I even bought a 12 month subscription (when it was on discount during January >>) just 'cause I feel it's well worth it.

Blizzard, upholding lore? Har har har. Ever since WotLK (and I guess the Sunwell Patch), they pretty much started ripping apart the previously established lore to make a plethora of cliche plot twists and retcons that really only leave plot holes in the story.
Not to mention they made it to where you had to buy the (usually, though there were some exceptions) poorly written Books/Comics to understand who the hell some of the new characters were or what the hell happened with Thrall suddenly become "The Chosen One" or other crazy stuff like that which they never explained in the game itself.
Sad part was I used to be a massive Warcraft lore nerd up until the later half of WotLK. Cataclysm just killed whatever hopes I had for them keeping to the lore.

To me this expansion basically says this for its story:
"After saving the world around ten times or so by now, the Alliance and Horde finally go take a vacation... AT PANDA ISLAND!"
Varian Chin: "Hey, let's go to the beach guys!"
Garrosh: "Let's go to the beach too!"
Varian: "OMG THOSE HORDE ARE DESTROYING OUR SAND CASTLES!"
Garrosh: "WTF THEY DESTROYED OUR SAND FORTRESSES!"
Pandas: "Can't we all just get along?"
Horde Pandas: "NU, WE'RE JOINING HORDE AND FIGHTING YOU!"
Alliance Pandas: "FINE SCREW YOU WE'RE JOINING TEH ALLIANCE!"
And then they settled their wars via Pet Battles. Because apparently that's going to be a big feature in MoP.

And by "Vanilla"/Cataclysm content I mean the zones that go up to level 60 that aren't specifically Cataclysm-only zones. So Worgen/Goblins wouldn't be playable and they couldn't go to places like Hyjal.
And maybe restrict flying mounts. Or just give them access to the basic low level flyers so they see what they can have with higher levels and such.
