Jan 26th 2012 3:11PM Awesome, awesome post! Blizzard...and Dave Kosak, in particular...should definitely take this to heart. Removing the old class quests was a huge disservice to the community, and I for one was very sad to see them go...
Grump on, Rossi!
Dec 7th 2011 2:20PM hm...so we're going to get serious now. i see.
well, point one: the privilege wasn't yours to take away, hoss.
point two: the meme is also appropriate to express confusion as to the purpose of the OP's post, which is how it was intended here. as for your definition, i am of the opinion that mr. mccurley's post fits neatly within the "ridiculous" category. as some posters have noted below, who really cares about a bug that turns your mature language filter on? hardly worth writing a post about informing folks how to "git their ignorant on", especially when a quick internet search would do just as well. i expect more from the writers here at wow insider.
moreover, do so many people really identify with the OP's hypo that they are cursing the fact that they can't obviously curse? i'm all for appropriate "choice" word usage and placement, but it boggles my mind that one would be so insistent that they be able to use lewd, abusive, and altogether ugly language in game that they would go out of their way to download an addon for it. honestly? get over yourselves. i think it's an indication of the direction the community is heading in that people would choose to do this instead of taking the high road, especially when dealing with "that guy". if you can't communicate some other way, then maybe you shouldn't be communicating at all.
pre-emptive rebuttal time!
to those folks who will no doubt throw out the, "this is 'MERICA! ah do wut ah wahnt!"...yes...yes it is. and so do i. you may not like what i have to say, but, well...it's just as much my right to say it.
...and yes, i get the fact that the mature language filter may poke it's nose into conversation where it doesn't belong...but there is something to be said for understanding via context. it won't hurt, promise.
Dec 7th 2011 1:08PM what is this I don't even...
Dec 1st 2011 9:59AM @Tili: As much as I appreciate your implication that I looked no further than the header image before I posted my comment, not to mention your uncanny ability to compare subject matter and recognize the differences inherent to each, you may be reading too into what I said.
I'm not complaining about similarity, I'm merely noting that it was a familiar topic, and that I look forward to reading the answers it encourages since the last topic (different, but similar!) brought up many ridiculous stories, similar to ol' boy above who blames his girlfriend's need for attention on him making a poor decision, losing his shit, and punching a hole through a door....or the comment I cited, which made you fear for the future of a community being put in the hands of the poster.
Perhaps I should have been more clear.
What can I say? Questions like this breakfast topic can bring out answers that look like they could have been taken straight out of a Jerry Springer show...and I love it. Hello, guilty pleasure!
Dec 1st 2011 8:13AM wait a second...this seems familiar....
there we go.
here's to hoping this topic brings more worms like Jpad218 on page 5 of the comments out of the woodwork. they're always good for a laugh!
Nov 30th 2011 3:08PM what does an ancient Hawaiian royal family name have to do with Deathwing?
...or is this something that was appropriated by a cartoon subculture and now people identify more with the subculture reference than what it is in real life?
Nov 25th 2011 11:45AM my mistake! puntable is correct...they drop off raid bosses, not heroic 5-man bosses.
Nov 25th 2011 11:38AM Geodes drop off the final bosses in the new Heroic 5-mans...I don't know if the same applies to other Cata H 5-mans, but I'm a tiny bit sure that it doesn't...maybe someone else can clarify? Either way, boss dies, roll for the geode, crack it open, collect your epic gems.
