The Queue: Titan's Midriff {WoW}

Sep 11th 2010 2:42PM The most common one I heard was Saurfang being pronounced 'sour-fang' (unless that's how it's supposed to be pronounced and I'm simply wrong, although it betrays the name's spelling if it is).

Also, re: Silithus/Silithid - is emphasis placed on the 'li'? Like, is it 'sih-LIH-thid' or 'sillih-thid'? I've always pronounced it the latter way, but have suspected for a while now that it's supposed to be the former.

Also, a friend of mine and I oftentimes jokingly pronounce Northrend 'noth-rund'. No particular reason, we're just cool like that, =P

The Queue: I, Mike Sacco, smell terrible {WoW}

Aug 29th 2010 7:16PM Reposted question is reposted -

Not the most exciting of questions here, but it's something that I've been wondering of late anyway...

Does Blizzard have any intention of adding some sort of indicator to the various attributes available to you for character creation so as to make picking the ones you like a little easier? As quite a few looks are either very similar or are an incredibly subtle change, so even something as simple as numbering each one would be a lot better, as then I can just go 'I like 2, 5, and 8... now to narrow those down to just the one', rather than constantly cycling through everything trying to remember which specific attributes I liked, only for my temperamental connection to then die and force me to start all over again, @.@

*totally doesn't spend far too long faffing around with the way his character looks*

Cataclysm Beta: Login screen music {WoW}

Aug 14th 2010 3:26AM Making my first new character come Cataclysm is going to take FAR longer than it should...

Cataclysm beta patch notes build 12539 {WoW}

Jul 21st 2010 1:55AM As a warlock fan, I came buckets when I saw this, X3

So lemme' just get a few things straight...

- As Summon Infernal and Summon Doomguard appear to be outright replacements for Inferno and Ritual of Doom, do they still require an Infernal Stone/Demonic Figurine (respectively)?

- Is Bane of Doom now a DoT or does it still only inflict its damage at the end of its sixty-second duration? As that effect up there seems to imply both.

- Is the 'Demon guardian' mentioned in Bane of Doom's new effect just a fancy way of referring to the Doomguard or is it a replacement for the Doomguard? And if it's the latter, do I still have to enslave it, or can I assume from the term 'guardian' that it will assist me without any such convincing?

And finally, BAWWW @ Hellfire no longer exempting the warlock from the fiery madness, :(

Mike Morhaime: Real names will not be required on official Blizzard forums {WoW}

Jul 9th 2010 1:25PM I give it one week before the nerdrage tsunami finds another small village to engulf, =P

That scary GearScore/Real ID screenshot is fake, guys {WoW}

Jul 8th 2010 9:21PM The whole point of the Real ID system is that it's optional, and although I don't agree with the complaints, there ARE complaints, and a shitload of 'em too. So what the hell would an addon author hope to gain from doing such a thing? (FYI - Yes, I know the screenshot is a fake, but as has been stated in the comments already, it's hardly a far cry for an addon author to do that.) They'd cause total anarchy amongst the naysayers, and totally defeat Blizzard's intention of this being an optional level of social interaction between real life friends. As stated, I may not agree with the complaints (and I'm not here to argue with them now), but of course I acknowledge one's right to choose to opt out of such a feature if it doesn't fly one's kite, and the potential for this to happen would go against that right.

If an addon author ever does this, then they're doing it purely to raise hell, and swift intervention by Blizzard will be required so as to ensure that the system of theirs that has already raised a huge amount of skepticism isn't abused in a way that blows those fears into overdrive.

A large amount of the fear regarding this system can be boiled down to the potential for it to be misused, and misused for no reason other than to throw fuel on the fire and watch the sparks fly.

Cataclysm class and mastery systems explained {WoW}

Jul 7th 2010 1:33PM This sounds awesome. I love it.

Cataclysm thus far is just endless amounts of win.

BRING ON THE APOCALYPSE!

Breakfast Topic: Real ID or Real bad IDea? {WoW}

Jul 7th 2010 9:23AM It seems like over the past two weeks there has only been two different types of WoW discussion -

1) Awesomesauce Cataclysm beta info.

2) Endless Real ID BAWWW'ing.

I'm loving reading all of these 'I Google'd my name and found x' horror stories, like anyone is actually going to prowl WoW, send you a friend request, actually have you accept it, Google your name, actually find you, and then somehow hunt you down and rape you or empty your bank account or whatever.

The way I see it, the people who are petrified over the whole Real ID feature are idiots. Yes, I said it, I think you're all idiots. And if Blizzard making your names public will cause you to stop playing WoW and stop posting on the forums then I say good riddance. Serves you right for being idiots.

Downvote me. Insult me. BAWWW at me. Do whatever you want. It won't change the fact that I think you're all idiots who need to either get real or shut up.

Oh, and in before 'I bet you're the sort of person who [insert something stupid here]'.

I'm gonna' love playing WoW with all of the people who have common sense and lack the whole 'scaremongering soccer mom' mentality which seemingly right now HALF THE WOW COMMUNITY is displaying. It'll be great without you all, :D

BTW, my name is Daniel Steven Chapman. I'm 21 years old and live in England. Feel free to Google my name and get all freaky to the questionnaire I filled out about myself about five years ago on the PE2k forum, ;)

tl;dr - *is still headdesking*
