Encrypted Text: The Shock and Awe build {WoW}

Soooo much misinformation about the legendary daggers. Blizz deliberately nerfed their special abilities so they wouldn't unbalance PvP. The agility procs take forever to stack and if a rogue gets off the special proc then basically peeps were just standing around patiently waiting to be wailed on. The latest PvP daggers actually have more agility than the legendaries. So the problem isn't the daggers, the problem is the spec. Sub is just freaking awesome with DS PvE gear.

Also, Blizz made the getting the legendary daggers much slower than the legendary staff since you can't have multiple peeps working on the various stages at the same time in a guild as you could with the staff. I'd be suprised if by the end of this expansion, if the number of rogues with legendary daggers is half as many as casters with legendary staffs

Garrosh is an insecure moron using the Horde to buff his epeen. You new it was going to end badly. To me the big news was the lack of news about Sylvanas who unlike Garrosh is competent and evil. It'll be interesting to see what happens with her post-Garrosh.

I love this movie also. Though as someone who runs a rogue as a main I must say her stealth needs a lot of work. :P

Scattered Shots: Hunter expertise in Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

You might want to start picking up gear with Expertise now if it's an item that will be DE'd anyway. WoW usually implements new talent trees a month or so before a new expansion so it wouldn't suprise me if Exp came into play also.

Know Your Lore: Cataclysm for Dummies, Act II {WoW}

There are still lots of loose ends left in Cata. The biggest is why DW didn't raze all the major cities after his emergence as he could have easily done. Instead he did little pinpricks, enough to terrify and enrage but nothing that really crippled his opposition. There is an NPC in SW that asks why DW bothered to destroy the Park section of town instead of something more critical.

Also, during the proggresion of Cata it looked like DW was setting up various encounters to groom a set of heroes for a final confrontation. I did the H legendary dagger quests and was immediately struck at by how strange it was for the uncorrupted Prince to emerge full form from his egg with the leaders of Ravenholdt at his beck and call.

At that point I thought I had an idea as to what was going on. I figured part of DW was fighting his ultimate dissolution to the old gods with an elaborate scheme. He was grooming a set of heroes for a final confrontation while at the same time creating a replacement body free of the old gods corruption. The purpose of the H legendary dagger quest was to create tools to draw off the old gods corruption at the point of his (DW) death. At that point he would transfer his uncontaminated essence into the Prince and fly off laughing his ass off at his dumfounded enemies.

That interpretation would tie up pretty much all the loose ends in the Cata story line like why he didn't destroy all opposition at the get go, why the Prince had support from an organization who'd normally have nothing to do with him, a source of the legendary daggers and an really epic shocking ending to the expansion. You'd also have an uncorrupted DW to possibly deal with in the future who Blizz could use in really any fashion since he was free of the old gods influence.

Unfortunately it didn't end that way. :(

Officers' Quarters: The plight of 25-man raiding guilds {WoW}

Oh, I forgot the other big advantage 25s have over 10s.... legendaries. Much, much faster to get them on 25.

Officers' Quarters: The plight of 25-man raiding guilds {WoW}

I'm in a 25 man raiding guild and in the main the content is tuned harder on 25 than 10 though there are a few exceptions. The biggest difference is on fights that have traffic issues. It's much easier to spread out on fight mechanics that require it on 10 than 25, H Baleroc is a prime example. Managing the cooties on that fight is much, much easier on 10 man.

During progression we've occasions to do fights as a 10 vs 25 due to poor signups and are almost always amazed how much easier the 10 man version is. The main advantage 25s have over 10s is that it is easier to recover from eff ups due to having 3 rather than 1 battle rezzes.

Blizzard looking into weapon enchant display solution {WoW}

Jan 27th 2012 5:25PM
The weapon enchant problem is especially bad for gnomes since the enchant is 'compressed' when it is scaled down to fit the smaller weapons. I spent a lot of time finding daggers with built in glows that override the enchant animation.

Would removing legendaries be a benefit for the World of Warcraft? {WoW}

Soooo, much misinformation.

First, stage one of the legendary daggers aren't legendary. They are decent purples.

Second, by the end of Cat the number of players owning the legendary daggers will be miniscule compared to players owning the staff. Blizz learned their lesson on the staff. You can't have multiple people in a guild simultaneously working on the daggers
