Jan 2nd 2012 9:35AM I find it strange that the holy pally faithful are so enthusiastic about the changes to our spec. My holy paladin has been my main since early Wrath and its the only character I've ever raided with. But as Cataclysm progressed, my interest in it declined. AOE healing isn't fun for me, I rolled a holy paladin because I loved the idea of being able to drop massive heal bombs on people. Being homogenised and watered down like this has ruined it completely for me. I decided to watch the fall of Deathwing on YouTube and turns out it wasn't as epic as the fall of the Lich King anyway.
So looking back, holy power was the beginning of the end of an era for me. I'm hoping my various alts will help me to hold out till MoP, but sadly I think I will have long quit WoW by the time it finally drops. I guess all good things have to come to an end.
Jan 21st 2011 10:52AM Come on, fellow healers. This was just a massive QQ post.
I've healed for 2 years and while No.1-7 can be annoying, they're part of the job. I enjoy being the self-sacrificing holy paladin willing to do whatever it takes to get the group over the line. People can question me, abuse me, kick me and rage at wipes caused by their own stupidity, but every once in a while when I save the day yet again, and I get the comment: "nice heals", I beam irl and proudly reply a simple two letter phrase:
Jun 5th 2010 1:18AM I don't know. While I admit Kara looks like it would have been fun, I never got the opportunity to raid till after Ulduar. I'm still progressing through ICC and I am loving it. It feels epic and I love the lore moments. Perhaps those who feel ICC is not as epic for them are remembering the good stuff of Kara and forgetting the bad stuff...
For me, ICC is the culmination of years of playing Warcraft 2 and 3... finally I get a chance to kill Arthas once and for all. Once I do, I can die happy :D
Apr 28th 2010 10:15AM You sir, are awesome. I'm so gonna ninja that idea... teeheehee "ninja"
Apr 26th 2010 8:57AM Most serious PVPers, especially rogues and hunters, will have Engineering for obvious reasons. They will usually have JC since out of all the professions it provides one of the best stat boosters. So yes, JC and Eng is a very popular PVP profession combo. I see it all the time.
Apr 19th 2010 8:30AM Good grief enough about the sparklepony already!! I swear, the worst thing about the sparklepony is the uproar it caused... we all know Blizzard sold out to Activision by allowing that mount to be an out-of-game transaction instead of a rare drop from Algalon like it shouldve been... but lets MOVE ON, shall we?
Bah who am I kidding? I know better:
World of Warcraft. Supporting bandwagon-hopping QQers since 2004.
Apr 15th 2010 12:00AM Paladin resurrection spell in Warcraft III is here:
If the Guardian of Ancient Kings spell looks anything like this.. it will be one word:
Apr 14th 2010 10:34AM That's it. I can't hold back anymore. I've resisted the new zone information, I've ignored the DM and SFK re-vamps... I've even tried to meh the flying mounts in Azeroth gimmick.
But I can't resist this.
Apr 12th 2010 1:25PM I loled at the "Aponi Brightmane" link. :D
Apr 6th 2010 9:32PM I'm not in the US so I'll just leave my comment here.
According to the news I've read about Cataclysm, the stamina of "squishy" classes will be boosted. What this seems to me is that the distinction in terms of overall health pool between a holy paladin (plate wearer) and a priest (cloth wearer) will not be as marked. This, in my opinion, sucks. I rolled a pally healer in order to play a healer with massive heals clad in impenetrable armor... with Cataclysm I foresee us losing our armoured distinction. Further, the Mastery stat will mean we'll HAVE to roll on plate, but at the same time it seems we will be even more tempted than ever before to roll on any gear that boosts our stats regardless of whether its leather or cloth or plate...
I admit in a raid context the amount of health a healer has is relatively insignificant in many cases... but especially in heroics I loved the fact that when I do somehow get stray mobs hitting on me.. I can handle it. And then I'd relish the fact that I'm a plate wearing healer.. not some silly squishy harp-strumming robe-wearing priest!
Anybody else concerned?
