Dec 13th 2011 9:36PM Now this isn't aimed at Druids, this is more of a broader thing but... isn't it kind of silly to be doing leveling guides 2 weeks after a major content patch? Shouldn't Alex have gotten you guys to do... I dunno, raid and 5 man dungeon support articles instead and save the leveling guide stuff for a couple months from now when there's nothing else to talk about and everyone's leveling alts anyway because there's nothing else to do?
Dec 12th 2011 6:07PM @Kira: Haha, that's exactly me on my Paladin in Wrath too. Except for Violet Hold. Damn VH... Runrunrun... come on portal... wait... Divine Plea falls off, then mobs spawn.
Dec 12th 2011 6:04PM And I wish they weren't so spot on! :p
Dec 12th 2011 5:57PM @Caylynn: The first time I did Ultraxion, it was in the LFR. I got hit by his thing every single time. People were yelling at me to push the button. The thing was, THERE WAS NO BUTTON! You know what happened? Blizzard decided that new buttons should go right were Grid gets placed, so Grid covered up the button completely.
Healers! (And good dps): Make sure your raid frame isn't centered under your character just above your actionbar (or where the actionbar would be if you hadn't moved/changed it) OR YOU WILL NOT SEE AND BE ABLE TO PUSH THE BUTTON!
Dec 10th 2011 9:10PM "Abilities like Cleave, Overpower, Execute and Cleave will fill out the suite as you level up"
So cleave is a doubly important ability? :p
Dec 9th 2011 5:38PM "Further, getting pieces of loot off a raid boss multiple times per week seems intuitively against the nature of a "raid," although that may not be obvious to people who are just getting their feet wet with the raid finder."
Eh, I disagree with you here. The LFR feels a LOT more like the LFD to me. It feels like a big 5 man dungeon that happens to have 24 other people in it instead of 4 other people. It doesn't feel ANYTHING like a normal raid to me. And people have this expectation after years of LFD that "you queue, you have a chance at loot, even if you've already run the dungeon that day because LFD ignores lockouts."
It still seems silly to me that you can't get gear more than once in LFR. You can only get VP twice, and there's only two wings. Once you've killed all the bosses once, there's 0 incentive to do it again until next week. LFR gear is intentionally a lower ilevel than normal, who cares if you can get gear more than once a week?
Dec 8th 2011 6:01PM Some of those... (Kelly! I'm going to have nightmares of.. him? Her?) were... wow. Ok.
Others... it looked like one guy they just pulled off the street and were like, "You're wearing a t-shirt and jeans, clearly you're cosplaying. Mind if we take your picture?"
Dec 8th 2011 5:54PM I'm a little confused, is it something you wear, or is it "just" (using quotations because it's hardly an insignificant piece either way!) a "statue/prop"?
Also curious how tall it is. The woman in the picture looks like she could be 4'6" tiny which would still have the piece ending up being nearly 8' tall at its highest point! But if she's taller than that and is just looking dwarfed by the tauren, well...
Dec 8th 2011 4:38AM I'm surprised so many people are excited for GW2. I'm not trying to troll here, I may just be remembering incorrectly, but wasn't GW1 basically you level to max in a day and then all the max level (20?) gear has EXACTLY THE SAME STATS? The only difference being completely cosmetic between sets?
Unless GW2 is radically different from that, I really don't see it doing well.
Dec 7th 2011 4:45AM "Priests under the effect of Spirit of Redemption will now receive credit for defeating Deathwing as long as they were part of the encounter."
I love how they have to include that second part or else Priests would go lawyery and say "I was under the effect of Spirit of Redemption, how come I didn't receive credit for defeating Deathwing? The hotfix said I would!"
