Apr 3rd 2012 9:42PM I wonder what it says about me that I find the "Hush, Tyrande!" to be a whole lot more objectionable than garrosh calling sylvanas a bitch? Seriously made me wonder whether it was worth saving malf's arrogant Druidic behind.
Apr 3rd 2012 8:43PM I do see a slight difference. "Can't keep the men off you" implies that she tries AND FAILS to divert unwanted attention. As an alternative suggestion, how about "I bet you have to beat men off with a stIck"? It's a common-usage expression, so doesn't have to be analysed so literally, and gives a much more active impression of her potential course of action.
Apr 3rd 2012 5:11PM Hoo yah, agreed. My ONLY male toon is a worgen. I just couldn't cope with the chihuahua perma-snarl. And those TERRIBLE voice emotes. It's just a tragic mess.

A very good point. Using that very same math, just because you have that problem doesn't mean it's prevalent and endemic...
I'm going to hop in with Ashlar, here. I am male, and I play primarily female characters, for my own reasons which I'm sure people will be happily to baselessly speculate about. I have never seen myself treated differently from my female partner who plays male toons.
However, if subjected to the same treatment, and one person sees it as a problem and one person doesn't - Can you say that the person who does, is in the right? They may be in the right for them, but does that give them the right to determine how the other is treated?
Mar 30th 2012 7:38AM For a slightly different look, I made a college student outfit:
(Random small shoulders and discreet gloves to complete)
If you're a priest, you can use any of the main-hand mug-maces to complete the look:
With maybe a book for an off-hand
Mar 19th 2012 11:40PM Suggestion: if the loot is assigned based on class/spec combo, rather than just class, give you the OPTION when you queue to pick an off-spec
You will not be put into the raid as that role, but have the chance to get loot for it. Note that this REDUCES your chance to get main-spec loot, since the pool of eligible items is wider. If you queue for two roles, the one you don't get assigned counts as your off spec.
You'd have to refine it for double-dps specced toons, especially Druids and shaman, who use completely different gear for their alternate dps specs.
Pros: allows you to gear up a new spec, especially a tank or heal spec, without the pressure of that role. You're not nInjaing gear off the healer or tank, because they'd have exactly the same gear chances whether or not the dps classes took this option.
It's not like you can't occasionally pick up offset tank pieces. Tank shield drops, and your tanks are DK and Druid? Hell yes, my retadin is rolling need!
Mar 16th 2012 1:28AM Interesting... I foresee a surge in ferocity-specced worms for 5-mans.
Mar 15th 2012 7:19PM Just a note on the ebonhold stuff: since transmog came in, it can often be hard to find and/or INSANELY expensive (2500 for the boots? Come on!). Something to look into is the savage gladiator's set which drops off the arena event in BRD. It's got exactly the same model, and is very easy to farm - boss drops on an early boss, in a level 50 dungeon vs world-drop random green set.

Mar 7th 2012 7:57PM Incorrect. I recently scrolled one of my own defunct accounts. Accepted the scroll, logged in and mucked around, then went to battlenet to claim the 80. It explicitly told me I had the option of making a new toon before I chose to super-ding. I did so, and now have an 80 of a class I've never rolled before.
