Apr 2nd 2012 11:28AM I'm not sure the Panderians will take to it as kindly as the orcs did when you start calling it Draenderia.
Apr 2nd 2012 10:03AM If there had been this level of complaining from the horde before
cataclysm about a far greater level of inequity, I could see the
Alliance qq being defensible. But there wasn't and at this point? It's
becoming more and more clear that people enjoy whining about it far,
far more than anything that Blizzard could add to the story.
And we're doing the voting down anyone who doesn't agree with this again thing, I see.
Apr 1st 2012 11:24PM I'm not entirely sure that explains why the Alliance had zone after zone of story rich quests and the Horde had...I'm not even sure there was a zone with a coherent storyline for the Horde.
The mechanics were there. The horde just never saw them.
Most of the Horde player narratives tend to be about some adversity that's collectively endured like Barrens Chat or Skull less peasents or having zone shut down by pvpers.
Most Alliance stories tend to be tied into that time they did that awesome quest and something awesome happened.
Mar 23rd 2012 10:26PM There is exactly one question that needs to be asked of any rogue set:
Does the Rogue armour make you look like a ninja?
If the answer is Yes, then it is a good rogue set.
In this case, you look like a goddamn ninja.
Mar 22nd 2012 10:33AM Well, if we want to be logical about it?
The only races other than Panderans that could be monks are any students that Drohn The Brewmaster, student of Chen Stormsnout, took on in Ratchet.
So...probably some goblins, because that's who lives in Ratchet. Let's say two goblins and Drohn the Orc.
So let's not be logical.
Mar 21st 2012 8:48PM It makes sense if you consider that it's a war between two nations, one of whom happens to be undead, rather than a war between the living and the undead. The AC isn't involved because they exist to fight the remenants of the scourge.
You want to fight the undead in general, there's a whole other organisation of dudes who exist just to kill them. They're fun guys.
Mar 21st 2012 6:28PM This. In game terms, your character isn't Garrosh's best friend or Wrynn's strong right hand. Your guy is Calder Grey or Linken or Nat Pagle. You are one of Azeroth's wandering mercenary trouble makers who occasionally signs up with the army.
Mar 21st 2012 6:21PM The Blood Elves were being wiped out, with no aid from an Alliance who actually took advantage of their countries weakened state to imprison their leader when he took steps to rectify this situation, until Sylvanas and the Forsaken offered to help them.
The Tauren were likewise saved by the Horde, a group who they have deep cultural similarities with and whose first action upon encountering them was to protect them from extinction at the hands of the centaur a cause with no benefit other than the idea that genocide is wrong. Compare this with the Alliance, who consist of a bunch of pseudo christian white guys currently lobbing huge spears at the gate near the camp they burned down and the Night Elves, who stood in their forest right next to the Barrens, within spitting distance of the besieged Tauren and did nothing.
Which is why neither faction is likely to leave the Horde or join the Alliance.
Mar 19th 2012 6:01AM The latter is probably it. He gets possessed by the biggest, meanest Sha ever, conjured up by the Alliance and the Hordes war in Pandaria.
Mar 19th 2012 5:42AM I pity those who will never know the simple joys of a Monkey Knife Fight.
