Jan 31st 2012 8:42AM I'm not sure how playing wow would have any bearing on the grades you get, the sports you enjoy participating in, or the effort you make socializing. If you're afraid of how others might perceive you despite all of those admirable accomplishments you just listed, you might have some self esteem issues, or just be totally ashamed of your little secret/addiction.
On the other hand, you yourself might have a misconception or a stereotypical idea of the "average wow player". Not all of us are pimply adolescents who are horrible at sports, get bad grades, and lack social skills. There are over 10 million people that play, that leaves a lot of room for a diverse scope of people.
Dec 26th 2011 3:19PM I find the whole concept of child rearing while playing video games utterly selfish. Not only are you neglecting your child by equating the importance of his/her well being to that or an online game, but, you're also being inconsiderate to your 9 or 24 teammates who have to compensate for your lack of focus within the raid. There is no way you'll convince me otherwise. Shame on anyone who takes pride in doing this. Thank God my neice and two nephews have parents who would never try to juggle entertainment with properly raising thier children.

Dec 2nd 2011 9:58AM I did something similar with weight training for a good year and vastly improved my muscle size while shedding some excess weight. What I did was do circuits of pushups/dips/curls and grind dailies during the rest period (giving myself about 1-1.5 minutes of rest between sets). Now I am at the point where I go to the gym three times a week, eat very clean, supplement with protein, and I have never been in better shape. During wrath when played wow for 6-8 hours a day, ate/drank too much, I was definitely not getting as much attention from girls either. Much like the person in this article stated, the benefits are plentiful, you will sleep better, get sick less often, feel better (mentally) and so much more.
I would advise everyone to go out today for an hour long walk or do 100 pushups even if you have to break it down to doing 10 pushups per set.
Nov 16th 2011 4:15PM Great effin' read. I love this aspect of the game and CoT has always housed some of my favorite dungeons. This article makes the 5-mans in 4.3 even more appealing and meaningful if you ask me.
