May 21st 2010 8:12AM I love the idea of being able to talk to friends on different servers and games, but the fact that I need to violate Blizzard's own EULA rules and give out part of my billing information to do so worries me greatly. I've met a lot of nice people on WoW but I certainly don't want to give anyone I meet on the internet my first and last name. Its just not a great thing to do. I really hope blizzard takes this in a different direction. And yes, I realize I don't HAVE to use RealID, but these are issues that should be addressed nonetheless. I believe this is a significant account security weakness as well as a general online safety concern.
May 7th 2010 8:20AM The first time we downed Blood Queen. She actually gave us much more trouble than Putricide because a couple people just couldn't seem to pay enough attention and kept wiping us. >.
May 6th 2010 4:49AM Or they could just buff druid single-target healing and give paladin's more raid healing abilities like, I dunno.. a continuous AoE that acts like a mobile healing stream totem and doesn't have to be channeled. They could even make it sound paladin-y and call it "Healing Hands"
Just a thought...
Apr 27th 2010 4:43PM Ah, rose-tinted goggles...
Seriously, I don't get this "everything was more epic in vanilla!" stuff. Everything was a pain in the butt in vanilla. I still celebrate each time my raid group downs a new boss in ICC. We're headed to go kill the Lich King. How is that NOT epic?
I have a feeling that if Blizzard went back to their raid design philosophies from vanilla then the resulting sea of QQ would drown us all.
Apr 27th 2010 7:30AM This is an absolutely wonderful idea and not just for casual and 10-man raiders.
More loot per drop means faster gearing for your 25man team. More gold per drop means less is lost on repair bills for wipes. And honestly, even if this did kill 25-mans (it won't) who would care? Do you really mourn the loss of 40-mans? Do you miss trying to get 39 people to do what they're supposed to do? You won't miss doing the same with 24 people. Please calm down and enjoy the fact that Blizzard is LISTENING to us.
We wanted to fly in the old world: we got it.
We wanted more accessible endgame PvP: we got it.
We wanted ponies: We got them and they even sparkle.
Its a GOOD time to be a WoW player and its only getting better with each announcement.
Apr 17th 2010 8:58AM Also, So far I've bought all the pets and the sparkle pony
Apr 17th 2010 8:57AM Am I the only one who thinks blizzard making more money is a GOOD thing? The cost of maintaining this game is ridiculous. They're upgrading server hardware and adding new content all the time. That isn't cheap. I find it hard to believe that our subscription fees cover it. If them selling vanity items means there's more money to create content for the game then its a great thing for all of us that play.
Apr 9th 2010 9:09AM Anything that requires the person/people being healed to move, click, pay attention or do anything other than focus on their damage rotation won't work. I've seen people die with a lightwell right next to them.
