Apr 3rd 2012 4:40PM Great article. As someone who formerly studied Japanese sword/martial arts (Tenshin Shōden Katori Shintō-ryū), the armor options for female characters really irks me. I think the armor should look the same on both genders. And while I realize it is a fantasy game with magic and full of physical impossibilities, I wish the armor were more realistic.
I don't have a problem with people wanting to dress revealingly. I question some of the motives behind it - not everyone is doing it to 'look pretty' - but you can't restrict a player on perceived impressions about why they made the choices they did.
The article brings up a lot of valid points. I hope that any devs reading the site will give it some thought.
Mar 28th 2012 11:27AM It's true that Challenge mode and needing specific class abilities could be limiting and promote more cliques but, I thought with the revamping of the talent trees, that this sort
of class limitation wasn't going to be as prohibitive. Maybe I read it wrong. But Blizz made a similar change to Hunter pet talents where you could reduce the impact of not having a certain class by giving a similar talent to a Hunter pet. I'm not saying that Hunter pets replace a class in a raid or LFD. But that it makes it less impacting and possibly easier to overcome limitations. If this is how they are handling the new talent system, then that strict limitation on what classes you need for a particular instance might not be there. Any who... just a thought.
Mar 28th 2012 11:18AM Pandaren Q: Based on your past experience, how does this beta compare to BC or Wrath? Does it feel more finished? Are there fewer glitches? What is better about how this beta was handled than in the past? What do you think Blizz could do to improve it? Are beta testers given a method to provide feedback or is it just a topic in the official forums?

Mar 27th 2012 2:01PM I see a lot of benefit from the new loot system. But I have to ask again, will we be able to do more than 25 dailies? Account-wide achievements/rep aside, having the ability to knock out 30 dailies in an hour or so would be great: 200+gold and tokens. I'm not an Auction House person and dailies are the way I make the majority of the money in game.
Mar 27th 2012 8:08AM I've never done a beta before and Cata was the first 'live' expansion for me. Thinking back to the first few weeks of Cata game play, I have to say I encountered more help and friendly chat in trade than I had ever seen. Everyone was excited to be playing and commenting up a storm on all the neat things going on in the zone. If someone had a question or possibly had encountered a bug, they were getting serious replies and suggestions, rather than the usual troll food. So, hopefully, the same sort of thing will be happening when I do get to beta. And, hopefully again, all the beta old-timers haven't had the shine worn off for them.
Mar 27th 2012 6:44AM "...some wild pets that eventually will be able to be fought and tamed in turn-based battles similar to a popular game we have all had contact with in the past."
Um, "we" have not all had contact with said game :( Not sure where I was. Can't blame it on the 60's :)
Mar 21st 2012 1:35PM Question for the queue... I'm probably in the minority here with dailies but with even more to be offered, is there a chance that we might be able to complete 30 instead of 25 a day? I'm still working on Sha'tari and Argent rewards on one of my toons.
Mar 20th 2012 6:29AM I'm not totally on board yet. I'm glad they aren't emaciated. But why do they all have to have the same goofy face? The eye shapes could be different, as well as the shape of
the jaw. They don't all have to have the same smile. I dunno...
Mar 16th 2012 11:31AM I have a somewhat similar story. I've started inspecting folks when they win the roll. Twice in the last week in LFR (I have 2 85 toons of the same class), 2 players in total PVP gear won on a need roll for trinkets and still have not equipped it.
Mar 16th 2012 7:47AM For folks who don't do the Auction House or have a crafting profession that makes money, daily quests are a way to make gold to buy the gems and enchants that are needed in the game. Call me crazy but I would like to see more than 25 dailies a day. I would do the ones in Quel'Danas and Outlands, along with some of the newer ones, if I could. It's a way to spend productive time in the queue. I really liked the Wrath dailies. There were so many to choose from that you didn't have to do the same ones every day. I opened up an entire new set the last month before the Cata expansion hit. Even though you have 2 sets to choose from in Firelands, I'd like to see a bit more variety there.
