Aug 10th 2011 12:43PM As a shadow priest, the only thing I every really wanted was shadow ravens. Maybe as a cone spell. Who cares, because shadow ravens are awesome! :D
Also, even though I know this is a far stretch.
[Shadow fissure] 6 minutes CD
All targets in a 15 yard radius are pulled into the shadow fissure (think mass death grip). The purpose of this spell would be to help tanks, on rare situations in raids, to rather adds. A 6 minute CD would ensure that tanks would not abuse or rely on the ability.
Jul 8th 2011 3:35PM I think we all go through that phase in WOW where we were complete jerks and learn from our lessons. It's funny because I do not think I would have learned what a jerk I was anywhere else. But more or less I find the best way to handle that kind of situation is a simple "I am sorry." If the 3rd party isn't going to forgive you then you need to forgive yourself. The past is the past and it is there so people can learn from their mishaps. Move on and don't make the same mistake twice.
May 7th 2011 10:05AM Agreed, not that I am ashamed of WOW or anything, but the video game stereotype still has a few more years to be shaken away. Even as popular as WOW is, many people do not even know what WOW is. Putting it on your resume is pointless, because the people who play the game would rather not talk about it in their work place and the people who don't know what it is only see elves and orcs.
Perhaps there is that one HR manager who plays the game and fully understands what you are trying to convey. Though, in this job market, it pays to be concise and leave WOW to recreational time.
Dec 23rd 2010 6:31PM Interesting question, me and my brother were looking at this and asking one question, how does this thing operate? Mostly I am entering for curiosity sake and the fact that it just has this draw like it was made for gaming. Either way, it will be a joy to figure it out :)
May 28th 2010 9:21AM I agree fully, though I don't believe it is just one thing that makes the server unbearable but multiple.
My home server of Andorhal was actually very balanced and competitive 2 years ago, then one of the only top hardcore guilds left for alliance. No one ever touched sunwell on my server since that guild left. Then WOTLK came out and brought hours of horde ganking in alliance zones, followed by wintergrasp.
Wintergrasp was a possible win on offense and alliance could never win on defense. Discouraging alliance every time. Then the faction transfers came out. People were transferring off the server before, but now they had a golden ticket to join the side with better pvp, guilds doing hardmodes, and were winning wintergrasp on defense. Within hours all that discouragement ejected like a volcano.
This is not an attempt to evoke pity, but rather to agree that it's not just on small thing that ruins a server but quite a few. I won't lie, in the end, it is fun to be on the winning side.
May 13th 2010 4:13PM After the last beta I tested with blizz, I'm probably going to pass on this one.
Sure it was a great experience to test content, though the servers were being stressed tested at the time, so any content you saw was mostly overshadowed by the fact it took 20 seconds to cast a spell.
This time I want the full feeling of entering Cataclysm and letting it be a surprise for me. Good luck beta testers!
May 6th 2010 4:43PM Actually it stacks 3 times increasing the modifier by 15/30/45% you can test it out on mmo-champion.
Other then that I am excited to see how they work, but am a little disappointed that we still have the "increase damage by X%" talents. I was under the impression that these type of talents would be removed in cataclysm. And shadow priests do have alot of them :\
Also before you start, YES I know it is the alpha.
Apr 15th 2010 7:08PM I visited wow.com for the latest scoop
when I saw a headline that gave me a hoot
Free pony titled the article in bold
but first a post must be mold
No simple response did I want to convey
For this was a true prize I wanted to win today
What would I do with a pony? That is the question
A true test of friendship is just so little to mention
I would gloat of my mount in all of warcraft
To be scorned by raiders who's riots would be laughed at
So when people ask what I was doing at the end of the Wrath
I will tell them I was riding my pony with my robe and wizard's staff
Apr 12th 2010 3:36PM While I understand what you are saying, it is important to note this is the beta..... alpha..... something. Yes you could sit down and say nothing. Then once the changes are permanent suddenly argue like all hell has broken lose, but by then it's too late.
This is the point where the feedback people give count the most. To many of you, that may seem like QQ, but to us it's a situation we do not like.
Just remember it's always easy to pick on someone who's got a concern because it's not your class and jump to GC's aid. Though this is not about GC's personality at all, or his integrity, or his mom :|. This is about the changes that some of us might not agree with fully. Not all of us can worship the golden blizzard statue together, sometimes there is going to be argument.
It's important to not group all these people into a QQ group. Some of us are quite calm about the changes and just would rather see something different happen then what we are seeing. Some people are QQing and I don't doubt that, but some of us are trying to have an intelligent argument without being branded as one.
The more you know......
Apr 9th 2010 6:11PM All Shamans get Heroism Bloodlust, regardless of spec. Priests are still the only class with a large Stamina buff, if I am not mistaken.
If we were talking about class buffs I would not be worried, this is about "spec specific buffs"
For shadow priests, this was only misery. To this day, I believe it is the only reason that I was permitted to join a raid (minus my skill of course). Now I read the patch notes and everything that was giving me at least some uniqueness is gone!
Vampiric embrace will heal less compared to double health pools
Replenishment being nerfed
Misery being removed.
Tell me, if anyone else was having their utility taken away at the excuse that "you should be skilled enough without it" would they buy it? Even if we were to consider that everyone is to do equal dps (that's a big if) we are still behind even compared to someone like a moonkin, a mage, a warlock in terms of utility. To my hardcore raid leader, do you think it will matter then if I'm a skilled player when someone just as skilled can take my place WITH utility?! That's like asking if you'd rather have the chocolate chip or the klondike bar for desert.
In the end, I'm going to watch the beta closely, because I'll be damned if I have to wait 2 years again to fix a mistake that was deemed "minor". Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
