Dec 22nd 2010 11:17AM Is there any new word on when the caster Meta Gem change is going to be reversed?
I know there was a Blue post about getting rid of the "more blue gems than red gems" requirement but that it wasn't something that could be hotfixed. That was before Cataclysm launched and it seems like they could have patched it in by now. With more people headed towards raid content it would be good to have the change go in sooner rather than later.
Dec 13th 2010 5:26PM Has anyone seen the newest level of healing and mana potions dropping in any of the Cataclysm zones yet? I remember getting quite a few leveling through Wrath content but I haven't seen a single one drop with Cataclysm and asking around, it seems no one has.
I'm an herbalist/alchemist, so if this is intentional, my eyes are turning to $$ signs. I just wondered if anyone else noticed this and if it was noted somewhere as being intentional?
Nov 18th 2010 8:03PM Your right. I got myself a little confused.
There is going to be a weekly cap on Valor Points that can be used for the current tier of gear and equivalent items.
There's no weekly cap on Justice Points which can buy the previous tier of gear, just the 4000 point cap.
Nov 18th 2010 7:10PM I think there will be less of this in Cataclysm because of the cap on points you can get in a week. Since raiders will be getting most of their point allotment for the week from raids with just a few 5 man runs to supplement it, less of the over geared players will be flooding the 5 mans.
This will mean the majority of players running multiple 5 mans will be non-raiders who either don't raid or are gearing up to raid. Either way there will be less players over-powered to the content so it will take longer to get to the zerging tipping point.
Sep 2nd 2010 12:28PM Before BC was released, experience gains and leveling speed were increased in vanilla content in order for people to get to newer content sooner. With a big focus in Cataclysm being the old world and all of the work that was done to improve that content, is that new content designed around the faster leveling or has Blizzard slowed pre-60 leveling speed down in order for players to experience more content?
May 28th 2010 11:09AM So are you going on record then to say people's concerns with the new system and its integration with Facebook are totally unfounded, people are just being paranoid about security and we have nothing to worry about?
You are actually saying people are too worried about account security?
Apr 11th 2010 5:09PM I don't need your sympathy.
This is just an example of the filler that wow.com has been churning out lately. I'm not sure if the actual owners of the website are requiring a certain amount of posts per day or the staff is just that hard up for inspiration.
You can vote them down as much as you like but, but judging by comments I'm not the only one who is disappointed with this post and what wow.com is turning into.
Am I going to abandon wow.com? Not yet. But I am definitely starting to get more informative and better written posts from any number of independent bloggers and other news sites who either realize that there is a time for a post like this or have enough journalistic experience to put a disclaimer in. They aren't under the gun to meet their post per day quota.
Apr 11th 2010 3:56PM I had a nice post written up in response to this. I deleted it because its not worth the effort to post.
I've been reading wow.com for years, and like the podcast its gone steadily downhill. Its pretty sad when, at a time when people are getting frustrated and bored with the game, when the staff of wow.com has an opportunity to help people learn new aspects of classes they haven't played, try out new ways of playing the game or make suggestions on what people can do to get ready for a new expansion; that instead we have a made up post specifically to create drama between classes that could have easily been posted on April fools day and a Breakfast topic about how cluttered your desks and bags are.
Here's an idea. Instead of posting 20 articles a day that are 80% useless and irrelevant content, why not post 4 or 5 good ones?
