Mar 13th 2011 8:21PM My guild recently was able to down Chimaeron and got Full of Sound and Fury the first time we did so (I've no idea if that is common or not). While the lion share of the credit goes to the healers, I definitely had that stand-alone herobear moment: we got to the burn phase, the tanks both go down, my kitty-turned-bear was next up on the threat list, and I tanked him into the ground.
good day to be feral!
May 4th 2010 9:52PM I think someone mentioned it above, but the Ephemeral Snowflake is just about tailor-made for Resto Druids. 11 mana each and every time my HoTs tick? An on-use for emergency haste? Yes please! Plus, it drops from HoR, so it's very get-able for up and coming trees.
Apr 9th 2010 11:44PM I dunno, I'm kind of excited about the ToL change... but bear (see what I did there?) with me on this one. I like having my spiffy armor all nice and shiny to look at, and personally I'm kind of glad that Blizz is making a Druid spec that keeps us in our regular form. I love my resto druid and I like my tree-boogie (which, I'll admit, is what I will miss most about tree form) but I'm okay with us having a 'super form' to go to when we need that 'yarg I'm a badass moment'.
Personally, I hope they do give resto-druids some kind of visual marker to show that they are what they are even without tree form. My vote would be some kind of green aura around us (think Shadowform but not quite as severe) to show that this a resto-druid you see walking by, not just a feral or boomkin out of form. And then, when we really need it, out come the branches!
While I'm bummed we aren't getting a flashy new spell to play with, I'm happy that they are giving more thought and effort into making all of our spells more specialized- we might not be getting a bigger toolbox like other specs/classes, but it sounds like they are serious about giving us some better tools
