The Light and How to Swing It: It's the end of block as we know it {WoW}

Mar 9th 2012 5:25PM What I don't like about this overall is that block will decrease in value the more avoidance you get.
this can make balancing these stats even more difficult.

The Queue: When is the MoP beta starting? {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2012 11:31AM I think we're more likely to see repeated events like the elemental invasions than the big one-time events of old. Blizzard has been moving away from doing things that only a small portion of the player base will see.

Blizzard's battle in South Korea over the real money auction house {WoW}

Jan 13th 2012 1:45PM potentially a lot at first, but I can't imagine it would pan out to be more than a few dollars per hour once it flattens out.

At first, there will be a few lucky random drops, which will sell for big money. the more early sales go for, the more people will try to start farming for equipment, which will definitely drop the prices quickly, dropping the price of all but the best gear to a few dollars, at which point, only the extremely rare will make any money at all.

that's my prediction any way.

Bashiok explains why the MoP talent calculator is out already {WoW}

Nov 23rd 2011 7:10PM @Tiqu is that a new thing?
I've been going through the talent system for TOR, which is quite the throwback to old-school talent trees.
I've got to say, I rarely see more than about 3-6 points (effectively 1or 2 talents) that could reasonably be moved around in any given build. given the choice between that and MoP talents, I'd honestly prefer the latter. I'll take effective choice over the illusion of choice any day.

That being said, I've pre-ordered TOR, it's just not the talent structure that draws me there. It's Bioware, and it's effing Star Wars. what could go wrong?

Is it time to kill the global cooldown? {WoW}

Nov 15th 2011 6:46PM Except that even in Diablo, there is a cooldown. Granted, it's tied to the animation, but there is a period of time where you can't use another ability.

I remember in Diablo II, there was even an issue where the block animation prevented you from doing anything, therein causing you to cc yourself if your block chance got too high

WoW Rookie: How to pick a good name when all the good ones are taken {WoW}

Pick a few words, and a language that fits your race. eventually you'll stumble accross something free and interesting.

Patch 4.3: Tier 13 armor sets {WoW}

Nov 2nd 2011 1:39PM Can you say Paladins with Pants?!

The Queue: Three questions for the dev chat {WoW}

Oct 27th 2011 11:10AM generally speaking, cross faction chat is used primarily for griefing and taunting. I don't see them adding that back in now, despite lore concerns.

WoW Moviewatch: Largest crit in the world {WoW}

Oct 13th 2011 12:15PM Wouldn't that have sucked if after all that it didn't crit (just over 50% crit chance)
