12 Days of Winter Veil Giveaway Day 11: Palit GTX 470 graphics card {WoW}

Jan 2nd 2011 9:56AM Oh please Random Number God hear my plea. My onboard graphics do not allow me to play games well... I mean serve you well. If you allow my number to be picked for this prize then I could turn up the detail on WoW and finally play Amnesia and a host of other games... I mean pick some truly righteous random numbers... somehow...

"Return to Graveyard" button appears in latest Cataclysm beta build {WoW}

Sep 19th 2010 5:53AM Finding my way back to a graveyard has seldom been the problem. Finding my way to the dungeon, now that has been an issue. Then sometimes it is a question of which entrance is it the left or the right? Frustrating if the party can't/won't help or boots you because of it. Sure the arrow points to where your body is, but it doesn't point to the entrance, which would be more helpful while in a dungeon.
Still, helpful to have this. I remember the first day I played I was playing a Night Elf and I fell out of Teldrassil and died midway down on a branch. I then took my spirit off the edge, missed my body and then spent a long time trying to figure out how to get back to my body. I eventually circled the island/tree passing Rut'theran Village then getting back to the cove where my body was, tried again for a long time until I eventually tried circling around to Rut'theran Village (which I hadn't discovered yet), then found the portal got into Darnassus and eventually found a graveyard.

Breakfast Topic: The best class choice for new players {WoW}

Aug 8th 2010 9:07AM I first rolled a Druid. Didn't do enough research and never figured the rotation.
I then rolled a Warlock. I found having the pet helped a great deal so I tried a Hunter and that was the first one that really stuck. I found it to be really easy. The only lesson to learn with pet managment for me was growl off in Dungeons, and dismiss him if for some ungodly reason the group decides to jump down rather than take the stairs and pick up the quests (grr)... and turn growl back on when you get out. Otherwise having the pet help tank for you makes the Hunter easy.
I went back to Druid and found it the most fun.
i never really locked in with a Paladin, just not my style I guess, I found it boring. Shaman I had troubles with, but haven't tried since I got going with my Druid, at the time I was pet dependent (pet dependence might be a reason to avoid Hunter and Warlock). Mage is easy until level 10 or so, then your manna seems to suddenly drain faster and manna management becomes an issue (oddly I don't find this an issue with my Druids). Rouge is okay, but I wouldn't suggest for a starting class. Never tried Warrior. I haven't tried Priest yet either, mostly as a pure healing class I am unsure how to quest with them, but then I never really looked it up.
I agree with many of the others, it really depends on the person's play style. I think one of the keys is getting away from Blizzar's default UI and using Bartender or Domminos and a couple other enhancements. I think Blizzard could go a long way by making their default UI work more like those, which makes classes that rely on different rotations easier.

Nov 27th 2009 10:41PM This one would be mine... all mine. Scary when a laptop could run circles around you main rig, which is old enough that it is probably luck enough to be limping along at all.

May 15th 2009 3:02PM Add me to the list of not wanting leather. Not for animal rights reasons, though I am not a fan of leather, fur or factory farming, but I eat meat. But I prefer cloth, it doesn't get too hot or too cold. I never understood why somebody would want a a seat they will stick to in the summer.
I also kind of like the idea of LED lights just from a tech gadget point and you can only get that on the high end model.
I could do without the navigation system, though the parking assist would be cool... again from a tech gadget point of view. :)
