Sep 14th 2010 7:28PM I completely agree. Points is a bureaucrats word, Any of the words you listed would be a lot better.
Sep 12th 2010 4:58PM Like all world events, it is limited to a fairly short time. Just like zombie event before Wrath, or like seasonal events (even though they return once a year). This is a one off and I'd be surprised if it is still available when Cata hits the gamer shops.
Sep 11th 2010 4:54PM Or... because the way the fabric of the Universe is set up, is such that generally, one thing has to happen first, and the subsequent thing later.
I believe this goes for most work. If Blizzard finishes one thing first, it gets finshed first. Then they keep working and other things get finished. One thing will be finished last. Doesn't mean it has to be something mysterious about it, just that it happened after other things.
Sep 6th 2010 5:55AM Sorry, your name is Chase Christian, not the other way around. My apologies, I didn't realize that until now. May have gotten confused by reading a Christian Belt article just before :)
Sep 6th 2010 5:49AM Christian Chase, usually QQ posts like these are posted in the official forums rather than on wow.com.
Much of what you are saying seems to be of the variety "My class is getting some spells nerfed - this is bad for my class and thus bad". You are ignoring the big picture, both in terms of all other spells getting changed/buffed/newly introduced and just focusing on the nerfs. Every major revamp, such as the one all classes are getting for Cata, will include nerfs, buffs, removals and additions in a wide variety. If you want your post to be taken seriously, please look at the big picture. Especially if you want to compare with other classes, as you are doing in your post (coming to the usual wow forum conclusing that some of your spells are worse than some random other spell of comparable classes, thus your class is worse off than the other - again, you have to look at the big picture or it is all just QQ).
Secondly, if you do look at the big picture, you will probably find that mana is going to be more scarce. Because that is precisely what Blizzard has stated as their intent. if you don't like that, focus your complaint on the design philosophy, not on the way they are (apparently successfully) going about achieving this goal (nerfing mana for all healers in this case)
As a side note, stating that " Priests get Evangelism and Archangel to help their blue bar stay full when they cast Smite" in relation to "providing throughput and regeneration at the same time" is to distort things, since Smite is doing damage and thus (since we are talking healers here) if you spend time casting it you have no healing throughput at all.
Aug 30th 2010 7:05PM Yeah, how dare they withhold information, made up and known to them, in order to have us venture across the continents of Azeroth in vain search of answers, wasting valuable time in the process, time that could, had not these missions in this accursed virtual world distracted us, been spent on mundane yet important tasks in the real world. How dare they!
Aug 21st 2010 7:47PM Looking so much forward to spamming firestarter scorch - especially with that old Prodigy song in the background. Heck, I'll put it in the foreground right away.
Aug 14th 2010 11:46AM They're removing all classes' +hit bonuses.
Aug 9th 2010 8:31PM Good to see that creepy old reactionary fanatic Benedict, the leader of the Holy Church, is finally brought to justice for his crimes.
Too bad it is only in Azeroth.
Aug 5th 2010 7:12PM Not quite. In the first tiers, gear was deliberately "badly itemized" and much DPS gear had mp5, and gear intended for dps had mp5 on it. Also, mana regen not being an issue for some healers have been a fact throughout WotLK, meaning saying that healers should only roll on spirit/mp5 and leave the spirit/mp5-free gear for dps would mean gimping your healers.
Only firm rule of thumb is that hit is useless for healers.
