Varian Wrynn is Right, Part III {WoW}

Apr 26th 2009 10:48PM @blkmasta and subtotal:

Your perspective on the Forsaken is very commendable indeed. They did not cause their situation and therefore should be left alone? I will remind you of that when the zombie apocalypse arrives. The undead of the Scourge are not responsible for their own situation either.

The fact remains that for all the Alliance races, (and most of the Horde races as well), any kind of undead are seen as an abomination of the natural order of things. It doesn't matter if they are mindless (Scourge) or sentient (Forsaken). They're still undead.

Apr 21st 2009 10:50PM A: The portal was moved. The Black Morass is now the Swamp of Sorrows, I believe, judging from the terrain.

A: Dunno

A: If Hitler had been killed or stopped early, WW2 may not have happened. Let's look at one possible (not necessarily probably) consequence: Japan never invades East Asia since the West isn't otherwise preoccupied with the war in Europe. Since there's no war in Asia, there's no atom bomb dropped in Japan. Japan doesn't go through its horrific post-trauma stress disorder and its amazing nation rebuilding. Japan never (or takes much longer to) becomes the technological and innovation powerhouse it is today, and without the collective PTSD of Japan's artists, we never get blessed with anime and manga as we know it today.

I know it sounds like I'm arguing that Dragonball Z was worth slaughtering millions of people in the war, but I guess the point that the Bronze Dragonflight is trying to make is: better the horrific present that we know, than a potentially more horrific present that we don't.

Apr 13th 2009 11:14PM I liked the custom facial expressions too. Rhonin had this subtle smirk at one point.

On the other hand, Varian constantly looks constipated.

Apr 13th 2009 11:04PM I'm not going to comment about the title being offensive or not, but *if* it were, I think that saying it's okay for it to be offensive simply because it's a Simpsons quote isn't really the best way to defend it. It could be a Simpsons or Family Guy or South Park quote, but that doesn't make it any more or less offensive simply because it's a reference to something else.

Mar 11th 2009 11:03PM There were no Vrykul in Stratholme, only human necromancers (eg Noth, Gothik, Heigan, etc).

Turn Evil glyph likely to be nerfed {WoW}

Feb 4th 2009 1:11AM I agree; this doesn't sound like much of a problem. An instacast CC spell with no cooldown certainly would be a problem in PvP, even if the target type restriction made it of slightly limited use.

Does overhealing matter? {WoW}

Feb 4th 2009 12:04AM While this is certainly true of how the game works, in that HoTs don't tick when the target is at full health, it still overheals in the sense that it's mana spent on wasted healing. A druid who spends mana placing Rejuvs on full-health dps who aren't taking damage might not show up on the overheals meter but certainly has wasted a lot of mana doing so.
