Mar 23rd 2011 3:58PM Blizz exec: Damn, I need another private jet. The one I have is almost out of fuel. Henchmen! Devise for me another mount to sell to those sheep. That should generate some spare change.
Peon: Milord, what sort of mount shall we create?
Blizz exec: Pffthht! Like I care. Just re-skin some lion and plop wings on it. They'll eat it up.
Breakfast Topic: What's behind your character's name? {WoW}
Jan 5th 2011 8:51AM Pigironpete has been the names of my paladins since pen & paper D&D back in the 80s. I was rolling my first character and the DM was pushing me to see my character sheet so he could check it over.
"What's his name?"
"I don't know. I can agonize about a perfect name for days."
"You don't have days. Think of one. He's a dwarf. Think of something dwarfy."
"Pig....iron...."
"Pots? Pomegranate? Petunia?"
"Pete!"
"Pigironpete it is, then."
And so it stuck. He was always my favorite character and the name eventually carried over to Everquest 1 and 2. Then to WoW.
