Sep 7th 2011 5:56PM As someone who lived on the BC section of the green line this summer, I approve the above comment.
Seriously, half the time I was almost better off just walking. Slowest damn thing ever.
Sep 7th 2011 5:50PM "All of the other melee classes are tank-capable hybrids with multiple defensive cooldowns at the ready"
I could barely read this sentence - I was too distracted by the muffled weeping of all the enhancement shaman in the corner.
Aug 30th 2011 8:06PM "In 3v3, there are double melee plus healer setups (cleaves), double spellcaster DPS plus healer setups (wizard cleaves), double healer setups, and triple DPS setups."
Interesting that you include double healer teams (??), but not caster/melee/healer teams. Obviously cleave teams are a very successful right now, but priest/mage/rogue doesn't get a mention? Or rogue/lock/shaman? You can win games and do great in those setups - which is certainly more than I think you can say for a double healer setup, as I don't think one of those has really been successful in quite some time.
Aug 8th 2011 7:18PM Even so, since you can't have over 4k JP, and you can't buy JP gear pre-85, I just don't see a way anyone could buy 3 pieces of T11 immediately after dinging. You need 1650+2200+2200=6050 JP, and afaik you can't get more than 4000 as a brand new 85. 2 piece is possible, obviously, but not all 3.
Jul 9th 2011 3:32AM I still don't understand why they don't just go the simple, easy route and just do what should have been done in the first place: get rid of the stupid distinction between s9 vicious and s10 vicious. Either make all the 365 gear 371, or make all the 371 into 365 again. There is no need, other than maybe to make Argolath even more worthless, to have 2 sets that close together, especially since the 365 gear is no longer purchasable.
Just make every 365 piece into the corresponding 371 piece and everyone is happy. Just pretend like last week never happened. That's got to be simpler than trying to figure out who bought honor gear, and is much more likely to be approved by the playerbase.
Jul 7th 2011 11:23AM An important question that deserves a good answer.
Twilight Sparkle - Arcane mage. she's the magic user, pretty easy.
Applejack - Arms Warrior. She's all about the brute strength.
Rainbow Dash - Oh god. Uh...Ferals run the fastest. This is harder than I thought it'd be.
Fluttershy - Holy priest in personality, hunter in terms of skills.
Pinkie Pie - boomkins are silly, right? No real clue here.
Rarity - Holy pally. She loves helping people out and she spends hours on her hair. Easiest one.
Jul 6th 2011 2:47PM Not to burst your bubble or anything, but that's 12 seconds apart, not 2. 60 seconds in a minute.
Jul 6th 2011 10:40AM Yesterday, I went around with a few of my friends (warrior, dk, and feral druid) and they attempted to, in duels, kill me 1v1. I made it easier for them:
I didn't move. I didn't do anything with a cast time. I didn't use any cds. I didn't bubble. All I did was put beacon on myself and use Holy Shock, WoG, and instant FoL.
After 5 minutes each, not one of them really got me in much danger (the dk got close with a good strangulate, but I immediately followed it up with a 45k WoG crit... and then a 14k HS crit, and then a 30k FoL crit) and I never got below about 60% mana.
I am in full vicious, with 2 PvP trinkets for fun, putting me at almost 4k resil, so obviously I'm never gonna be easy to kill. But still. Going into bgs made me feel like a god. I'm so worried people are going to complain about how unkillable we are, and instead of just cc'ing us and targeting our teammates, get us nerfed.
Jun 27th 2011 4:51PM It's funny, because I said the same thing. Like, this is the same exact language a friend in the guild used in a private chat with me recently...kinda crazy that so many people are going through the same thing.
Honestly, it's a terrible situation, because we have about 16 people in the guild who are truly ready to raid. It's just enough where it's too many to get a reasonable rotation going without pissing people off, but obviously not enough to get 2 10 mans. And of course, the 12 or so of us that have been raiding since December have slightly better gear, way more experience, and (in a few, stupid, annoying cases) a sense of superiority that goes back to ICC. We've tried having a normal 10 man and then an alt/main run for everyone else, but that didn't really work out. It's looking now like the only way things will work is to blow up the raid team and keep recruiting...when the available talent out on the server is pretty bad. Not a happy time for us.
Jun 26th 2011 8:02PM "By putting HL back onto the 100% Beacon transfer track, its position as a raid heal is cemented."
What I think Ano's post really made clear was that for heroic modes and even some of the harder normal fights, this model simply will not cut it. Holy Light, beacon transfer or no, does not do nearly enough healing fast enough to be a useful raid healing tool.
I'm seeing this now as my guild works on the early 10 man heroics. In many cases, the raid is too spread out for HR or LoD to be much use. Even when enough people are grouped up, once I'm out of holy power and I've used HR, the only way to do enough healing is to use DL. We don't have the tools that other classes have. Shamans have chain heal, druids have WG and rejuv, and priests of both types have just a silly amount of spells to use.
Holy Pallies are already forced into tank healing due to our smaller toolbox - we're just not going to be even less effective at that.
