Breakfast Topic: What was your most memorable noob moment? {WoW}

Dec 2nd 2011 11:20AM My very first character in vanilla WoW was a druid, because I wanted to play a shapechanger. I was very excited to get the first class quest at lvl 10. The one where you summon a moonkin, kill it and get the ability to change into a bear.

Unfortunately the moonkin killed me and the quest in the questlog said that I had Failed. The item to summon the moonkin was used and I had no way of getting new one because I got it from the questgiver. I was really sad because my druid would never be a bear and a couple of levels later I just deleted the toon.

I rolled a priest instead.

It was not untill much, much later when I learned that the quests can be abandoned, and re-acquired from the questgivers, and that's how you get lost questitems back.

The priest is still my main, though!

Breakfast Topic: Titles! Titles! Titles! {WoW}

Sep 1st 2008 8:19AM I was very very disappointed when I read about the new titles.

The titles themselves are very class and race defining such as Arch Druid or The Forsaken. So it's a darn pity that they are reserved to people who rush through content as fast as possible. Is Fandral Staghelm just a server first? That's why he's an Arch Druid?

Arch Druid would be a much better title to any lvl 80 druid who is exalted by Cenarion Circle and Cenarion Expedition, for example. Arch Mage could be a lvl 80 mage who's exalted with Kirin Tor...

Or why not make class-specific achievements and give the titles as rewards to players who really know how to play the class. Like druid achievements could be tanking a boss in heroic as a dire bear, obtaining the swift flight form and aquatic form, winning a battleground as a moonkin, etc... Then after doing the class specific achievements you could be really called Arch Druid!

I truly hope Blizzard is going to change the server first titles to be something else. And give more titles in general.

Forum post of the day: Rookie Mistakes {WoW}

Jun 17th 2008 8:08AM My first toon was a NE druid whom I leveled to 10 and got the first druid quest for bear shapeshifting. I failed killing the moonkin and got a "failed" in my quest log. I deleted the character and rolled a priest instead because I didn't want to play a druid without the bearform. I didn't know you could abandon quests and then retake them from the quest giver. ^^ I still play that priest, though.
