The Queue: Pebble {WoW}

Oct 16th 2010 2:22PM This could be done with the winterspring frostsaber mount as it is the only epic 100% speed mount that can be used with the journyman(?) 60% riding skill. However I don't think the quests can be picked up at level 20, and you would be insane to do it for that purpose anyway.

Breakfast Topic: To what lengths have you gone for your raid? {WoW}

Oct 11th 2010 8:54AM Similar story. My drunk gf came over while I was raiding ZA. Well with the timed run you can't really say you have to go. So she decided to just kneel infront of me if you know what I mean. I think I may have caused a wipe or two while trying tank. But it was a good night.

Guild chat coming to the Mobile Armory app {WoW}

Sep 21st 2010 2:47PM No realID chat? Or chat with your friends list? No talking to your guildie friend that's online on his bank alt in a different guild? I can see not adding trade chat. But at least let us talk to our non-guildie friends.

Cataclysm Beta: Old weather flying will cost 250g {WoW}

Breakfast Topic: Does your guild's social reputation matter? {WoW}

Sep 4th 2010 12:33PM As a member of a top 3 guild on my server I can say reputation matters a lot. People come to know and respect top guilds so all of our members have to be accountable. Recruiting is done largely by name alone and we can't have people screwing that up.
I witnessed first hand how guild rep affects how people deal with the guilds members a while back and I wasnt even in the guild. We had a guild on muradin called the Minimob. It was comprised of only gnomes under level 3, and you had to have mini as the first part of your name. The whole point of this Guild was to be annoying as possible. They would run around yelling in citys. They would take the guild (of level 1-3's) to winteragrasp and hog the cannons. Also giving horde tenacity. (before they changed the level requirement for tenacity, I have a feeling it was partialy because of this guild that bliz did this) They would just cause general mayam under the anonymity of alts. They started in bc, faded away and came back a couple times in wrath. Unfortunately my main is named Minishark. I was level 70 when the guild was created, was never in the Minimob, yet anytime I talked in trade chat or whispered someone I would usually get flamed. It sucked, and I almost did a name change. Lucky they died out about as fast as they started. But for a while everyone on the server had misgivings about any mini.

Offspec gear and Cataclysm raiding {WoW}

May 9th 2010 6:49PM My guild uses the SK system and loves it. However we use the list for only mainspec pieces. If a piece gets no bids then all offspecs roll on it. To aviod issues, if you are seen wearing a piece you rolled on for offspec while raiding in your main spec you get thrown to the bottom of the list and possibly forced to stay there for a while (or worse). We really don't like loot whores in our guild, they aren't tolerated. We also use a separate list for tier tokens, to avoid people siting at the top of the list just to get tier. In this way the tier tokens are given in a very linear manner, after you get your token you have to wait until everyone else there gets one before you get your second one. Its a very fair system, we haven't had any major loot issues since we went to it at the beginning of wrath.

Back on topic of the original post. I see offspec's working how they always have in wrath. Your offspec will generally be one tier below your mainspec, until the current tier is on farm. Run the current tier to gear out your mainspec, on off days take your guild to the previous tier raids for your offpsec, no lockout issues to deal with. I really don't see any complications with there only being one lockout. You may get offspec gear slower, but so will everyone else.
