The Light and How to Swing It: Straight talk about holy paladin healing {WoW}

Jan 31st 2011 9:47PM you know i used to be of the belief that there were 3 paladin specs... Protection, Retribution and Holy... Appears that im wrong since a good 90% plus articles on wow joystiq paladin section is all about holy.... I call shananigans :p

Breakfast Topic: What caused your first Cataclysm death? {WoW}

Jan 31st 2011 9:44PM Bit late for this sort of question considering the xpac has been out for some time now... redundancy ftl

Breakfast Topic: Do you actually enjoy PUGs? {WoW}

Jan 31st 2011 8:26PM perhaps i forgot to mention this in my initial post, but im also one of the people that while i can appreciate the challenge of heroics as they are now, i dislike being stuck in queue for half an hour... now i know that this is largely due to pugging them using the LFD tool so in this respect the wait is something i am just willing to accept... But still even when i get into a heroic, the 45min plus time on average to get the thing done, all things going well, is a great hassle... coupled with the fact that heroics are so damn boring (hell even raiding is boring, IE yesterdays muck cooked again) i just cant justify doing eeither portion of content... now i used to think that shadowbolt spam as a demo lock back in wrath was boring (lets face it theres more to the rotation then just that, but you get what im saying yeah?) but heroics in cata are just one big yawn fest and really not enjoyable at all... oh the monotony... So after some time of delibaration and much thought ive decided to wing it into the battlegrounds in the hope that they are spontaneous and captivating enough to prevent me from /snoring myself right out of the game.. So i guess in the end some people could end up just flaming me off for saying what ive said, and thats fine, im not here to please those who would disagree with what im saying, but at the same time i dont seem to be the only player who feels this way

Breakfast Topic: Do you actually enjoy PUGs? {WoW}

Jan 30th 2011 8:18AM pugs are mostly trash, no really... As a casual gamer, heroics in cata rae basically like small raids, taking far too much time to get anywhere, and pugs just seem to make things worse... I seriously think that Blizzard has really gone out of its way to appeal to the wow community that is either unemployed, still living at home with their parents, or just have far too much time on their hands in general... content is boring, its really a case of yesterdays muck cooked again with no real "wow" factor... sorry to say but its all been done before... Coupled with the fact that most pugs fail, well i really wonder if im not completely wasting my time on an absolute time sink of a game with little appeal... Blizz should really be working on their next game, WoW is just so passe now

Breakfast Topic: I just bought a $25 imaginary horse {WoW}

Apr 20th 2010 8:28AM Moving with the times people... this is what this all about... so much has changed, has had to change for WoW to remain alive and at the same time capable of being a money maker for whichever corporation puts it out there for consumers... If you think that a company creates something purely to keep consumers happy, your just lying to yourself, bottom line money talks and BS walks... So for all those who think that online stores that sell WoW related items and services that you can use ingame is straight up detrimental to the game, just remember that if Blizz/activision doesnt make money, no more WoW, or diablo 3 or starcraft 2 for that matter...

Ingame the other day in a raid, i heard a "hardcore" player raging about how people who bought the celestial mount werent real players and i had to laugh... Seriously people who think like that, well thats their opinion, but im sure it isnt blizzards... Blizz/activision rely on new ways of creating revenue, and the day they cant is the day wow dies or commences to... companies always have to have something to offer their shareholders and online stores are one of the ways they do it.

Hardcore dinosaur elitists really should wakeup and smell the roses if they think these types of games are there purely to please them... Pleasing the balance of corporate accounts, and those of their shareholders, is the real reason why nerds exist, and vice versa...
