Feb 1st 2012 10:31AM @Edymnion You can only get camped on pvp servers, agreed? As such it is not against the TOS to camp players, because there is a pvp solution. Namely, call in a bunch of your higher level buddies to counter-camp. Or level up and get pvp geared and go stalk him. The only time a GM will intervene is when there isn't a pvp solution, which are pretty rare these days. Things like killing badge vendors, which is now impossible.
Now, the issue is that a person who does camp persistently (not just killing and moving on) is more likely to also engage in actual harassment, which you should always report to GMs.
Jan 5th 2012 2:08PM Great article Olivia. I would suggest you give GLosA another try, but with some major adjustments. It’s a shame it comes stock with almost everything enabled. After install go flip the Trinket Announce to “Class” and it will announce “Warrior” instead of “Trinket”. Next I’d go through and uncheck every spell, then recheck only the most important ones. As a rogue I REALLY need to know about rezzing, drinking, manaburn, immunities (more importantly when they are down) and bursting signatures. For the specs that have serious burst capability (think icyveins or shadowdance) I click on that one spell that they’ll definitely have macro’d into an “I WIN” button. I just love CCing people as they blow CDs.
May 13th 2011 9:29AM Assuming you’ve been doing dungeons through Northrend and have some Justice saved up, the fastest will be the Red drake from Wyrmrest Accord. Dragonblight, Coldarra and Oculus quests will get you to Honored. After that visit the justice vendors in Dalaran to buy Wyrmrest Accord rep tokens, 500 rep each for only 16 JPs.
May 11th 2011 8:09AM Depends on your class. If you are a healer or melee, lack of resil will make your life hell. If your a ranged class or a rogue where your pvp strat is not getting hit, it can be a learning experience (still filled with lots of death). Either way, though, you may want to consider grinding honor through dungeons to buy the escape trinket and the 5pc bloodthirsty, then TB and BGs for the rest. The crafted items are a waste at this point. And as soon as you have 2k resil, get a pvp geared friend to start doing lol 2s.
Apr 7th 2011 3:00PM Damn iPhone....
Apr 7th 2011 1:31PM Take 5-6 toons past 75 to 86, and level up every prof, including gatherers, to 525. Now you are completely self-sufficient. You can stop grinding fake money, and, you know, just play the game.
Mar 30th 2011 9:12PM Old show, good chap. Wait, flip that.
Feb 15th 2011 1:57PM I think Adam's answer when applied to Holy Paladins is correct, as they have a far greater reliance on secondary stats than other specs. Problem is he applied this blanket to all healers. Resto druids, for example, do not greatly value secondary stats; just as long as they have the spirit and get some haste mins, they do just fine in badge pvp gear. Not crafted...honor and conquest. Adam's second paragraph appears to be addressed to all people that wear any pvp gear in heroics, and this part of the answer really bothers me. If you don't know the stat priorities of spec in question, you simply aren't informed enough to decide if someone wearing pvp badge gear can make it in a heroic. Why not give them a chance first?
Oct 21st 2010 12:43PM For rated battlegrounds in cataclysm, will the other team always be the opposing faction, or will it work like arenas and ignore faction? Obviously the lore side of the arena style would be tough to explain away, but from a mechanical perspective ranking only seems workable (and valid) if the entire population is available for matching.
Sep 30th 2010 4:41PM Have they made it clear one way or another if rated BGs will always place an allance team vs a horde team? Rating would seem a valid measurement only if you earned it competing against the entire pool. But I've not seen anything on this.
