Drama Mamas: When guild officers break up {WoW}

Feb 18th 2011 10:08AM Honestly, there's no real clear cut advice that is going to guarantee a happy resolution. The fact of the matter is that if you remain in the same guild and have interaction, whether it be over vent or guild chat, there will probably be a day when someone's buttons are pushed. That being said, if I were in your situation I'd stay in the guild and be amicable. If something erupts in the future, there's really no preparation that's going to stop that. I think leaving a guild that you love and have mutual friends in would be the wrong move and you'd only be punishing yourself. Good luck, bud!

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Fury Talents {WoW}

Feb 7th 2011 3:17PM I'm thinking that SMF will be slightly more viable with the upcoming patch. With the nerfs to HS and Cleave, and the buff to Slam (albeit a tiny one), you'll be proccing Slam through Bloodsurge quite a bit and hitting with BOTH weapons if you're a SMF. This will definitely be something to test out with fury builds post 4.0.6!

Learning your role {WoW}

Feb 1st 2011 11:36AM On the contrary, I had an minimally geared group on a heroic and they were great to play with despite the low dps. Nobody was quick to rush me. They were patient. For one, they knew the mechanics of threat generation allowing me to get a good amount before going all out. For two, they were easily coachable with regards to cc. The instance was a breeze even though it took a long time to get through because of the low dps. One of the most enjoyable pugs I've ever tanked for.

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Protection Warrior 101 -- talents {WoW}

Feb 1st 2011 11:27AM I don't think you're getting grayed out because you offer a different viewpoint - it's more likely because you're unnecessarily being a jerk. You didn't offer any explanation as to why Rossi was wrong in your first post here. You just insulted him. Although, I agree with your assertions about Hold the Line and Last Stand, there's no reason you couldn't have stated those facts in the first post without the douchebaggery.

Learning your role {WoW}

Feb 1st 2011 8:47AM Whenever somebody tells me to "gogogo" or something similar, I reply with a "brb" - wait about 10-15 seconds, then ask if everybody is ready. I've also flat out typed that I don't put up with that bs. I used to listen when people say "gogogo" but it gets old.

I don't tell dps what to do unless they are asking for guidance. I want the same courtesy, but sadly, I don't expect it. Yesterday, I was tanking a pug heroic in grim batol. It was myself and 4 randoms who were all in the same guild. They all had the "gogogo" attitude, but I took my sweet time, and they put up with it. Then we get to that one boss who has the fire add who explodes upon touching its target. Turns out the dps was so bad that they couldn't kill/cc the add quick enough, and to top it off, they ignored the fire ring which indicates where the add would spawn. Instead of blaming them after we wipe, I said "What could we have done better?" The healer throws up the recount and not one person was over 6k.

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: A 2010 year in review {WoW}

Jan 7th 2011 11:30AM Enjoyed the read. I'm not nearly as experienced as a lot of players, but the first character that I rolled 4-5 months ago was a prot warrior. I enjoy tanking as a warrior. Currently, I'm playing as a 85 fury warrior with a prot offspec, trying to gear up for raiding - I've gotten quite a few pieces of heroic gear, but heroic two-handers have not been dropping. It's a bit frustrating to see ranged classes out dps'ing me by large margins. At the moment, I average 7.5-8k dps and the low dps is probably due to gear.
