Aug 26th 2011 10:55AM Regarding promises/threats and sticking to them...
One of the raid leaders I used to play with had an excellent way of dealing with low dps. I just switched from my holy paladin to enhancement shaman and wanted in on the raids, but he told me to improve before I could get a spot. He gave me 2 weeks, with the promise that if I'd improved enough by then, being able to show high sustained dps, he'd bring me on the next raid and hand me any gear I'd be eligible for.
Keep in mind that most of the other raiders already had decent gear, so one night of drops wouldn't make much difference to them, where it could increase my own performance even further.
Good times :)
Aug 4th 2011 11:22AM I'm guessing that "Mist of Pandaria" has nothing to do with WoW whatsoever. I'm guessing it's the name for the "Titan" project, as has been announced that Titan was just a working title. It just seems to fit.
Apr 17th 2011 9:52AM No, it wouldn't clear the Divine Shield aura because Divine Shield is on the GCD. That's why /cancelaura needs to be first (it can't cancel if there's nothing to cancel anyhow, no harm in that).
Apr 17th 2011 9:49AM There's a talent in the Protection tree that makes Divine Plea give you an instant 3 Holy Power. So that's why that one isn't useless.
The first (Divine Shield) macro is intended to press twice in quick succession, so that you cancel the bubble directly after applying. That way, you can keep tanking instead of being invulnerable for 12 seconds (but unable to do anything).
Mar 8th 2011 2:18PM It should've been an Earth Totem tbh. Air just isn't the right element for a defensive cooldown like this, imho. Earth is already used for other defensive abilities (Stoneclaw Totem, anyone?) and it would fit the bill perfectly.
The only thing I could remotely link to Air is the health distribution, although I personally believe that Water would've been a better pick as far as that part is concerned. All in all, I still say it should be an Earth totem, period.
That said, I'm excited! I can't wait to try it out on the PTR!
May 3rd 2010 5:32AM I play a FoL spec myself and I like it. Not only because of personal preference, but also because I've experienced much more efficient healing with a FoL spec as opposed to a HL spec. And yes, I also cast HL when needed. Just because I play a FoL spec doesn't mean I can't keep the tank up. I still have HL and it hits for much harder than most HL spec pally's.
I also use HS a lot to keep up the SP bonus and it's very noticable. Of course, that bonus also applies to HL! And I've seen some really nice crit heals from both HS and FoL that can compete with HL imho. I've seen HS crit for 17k this weekend during a Black Temple raid (gotta love 'm!). I'll post a screenshot on my blog sometime soon to prove this, as I'm sure people will try to claim it's impossible -_-
My blog is located at: http://failadin.wordpress.com/ for anyone interested. I don't claim to be the most knowledgeable paladin in the world, but I'm quite sure my personal experiences account for something ;)
