Two Bosses Enter: Mannoroth vs. Asira Dawnslayer {WoW}

Feb 27th 2012 5:59PM The whole issue here is that when we fight Mannoroth in the dungeon, we have the help of both Illidan Stormrage and Tyrande Whisperwind. Without them, we would have been overrun by smaller demons in an instant, and we would have had to tank Mannoroth ourselves. Illidan has a 90% dodge chance buff the entire time he tanks Mannoroth, and I'm pretty sure Asira doesn't have that. Without the two of them, Asira is taking on the full brunt of Mannoroth's felblade, and his massive following of demons (which, as we've seen, range from Fel Guards to Dreadlords and beyond).

While she may still be able to do a lot of damage to him with Varo'then's sword lodged in Mannoroth's chest, Mannoroth's full fury is turned on her the entire time. This is NOT a fight she can win.

The Light and How to Swing It: In defense of Inquisition {WoW}

Feb 17th 2012 7:21AM There's a slight issue with that possibility. Unlike Slice 'n Dice, Inquisition is only used by one paladin spec, and as such the refreshment of it is unique to them. The reason that Slice n' Dice is refreshed with Envenom for assassins is because they have too many abilities to juggle to keep everything up at the same time.

If retribution paladins were given an ability that refreshes inquisition, then it's essentially giving the paladin a 30% holy damage boost that lasts the entire fight with almost no input from the player. At that point they might as well just give them a 30% passive damage buff to all their holy abilities and remove Inquisition altogether.

Arcane Brilliance: Blinking into the Mists of Pandaria talent calculator, the epic conclusion {WoW}

Dec 11th 2011 5:22AM It's the opposite right now. First build didn't have Flamestrike, this one doesn't have Blast Wave.

However, Flamestrike seems changed to incorporate Blast Wave; the spell, as it stands, slows all enemies hit by 70%

Dec 10th 2011 7:53PM Here's a question that I've been dieing to know about since Wrath;

First off, let me say I've been RPing on various servers since... well, since I found out that RPPVP servers have no RP... which was during vanilla. Second, my main character is a mage and her story has circulated around an on-off relationship with the mages of the Kirin Tor.

As a result, I've always wanted a title for my character to go along with my affiliation... but there are none. I found it very odd when Wrath was released that the Kirin Tor did not get one, while the Argent Crusade and the Cenarion Circle did. By that, I mean you got a title for being exalted with a current faction and an old faction; Argent Champion for Argent Crusade and Argent Dawn, and Guardian of Cenarius for being exalted with the Cenarion Expedition and the Cenarion Circle. Why isn't there a title for being exalted with the Kirin Tor and the Violet Eye? It fits the archetype of the other two perfectly.

The Queue: These new white and silver Coke cans are freaking me out {WoW}

Dec 10th 2011 7:51PM For some reason when you mention that I think mainly of the League of Legends champion Pantheon, who is based on the Spartan warriors and uses his shield as an offensive weapon...

Dec 10th 2011 7:19PM I honestly don't see anyone with a Fire spec taking anything other than Living Bomb. Combustion still combines your fire DoT effects, and Living Bomb is the only one of the three that is a fire DoT. In the end, if you want the maximum useage of your major cooldown, Living Bomb will still be the Fire-specific spell.

Unless something weird happened in the calculator that I didn't know about and Living Bomb wouldn't be part of Combustion, Living Bomb will be essential to fire mages.

Blood Pact: Distinguishing destruction from fire {WoW}

Nov 9th 2011 9:29PM Can't we just... get along? Aren't fire mages and destruction warlocks brothers in bringing flaming doom to our foes?

If the war between the Warlocks and the Mages could ever end, if peace could ever be found... it must be found through our common love to set our enemies ablaze and laugh as they burn to a crisp.

Why, a warlock and a mage could work together to reduce all inferior classes and specs to mere piles of ash, then laugh together as we set the rest of the world ablaze.

There would be world peace... under our tyrannical fist of burning fury.

Two Bosses Enter: Lord Godfrey conquers all in season 2 {WoW}

Oct 31st 2011 9:09PM The problem with a two-bosses-enter thing for raid bosses is that, for the most part, you're dealing with bosses with near-limitless power fighting one another. C'thun vs Yogg? That's two GODS fighting each other. How can you divine a winner there?

Sure, with some of the bosses it would be a little obvious; Arthas (as the Lich King) vs Illidan would be obvious. Arthas could beat the half-demon guy when he DIDN'T have near-limitless power. Not sure if Illidan has a prayer to beat Arthas when he's donned the mantle of the Lich King.

BlizzCon 2011: Heroic Scholomance and Scarlet Monastery redesign {WoW}

Oct 22nd 2011 8:29PM @Kreek A little non-sequator to the conversation, but what you said was a brilliantly intelligent analyzation of the dungeon situation. Kudos, sir.
