Indeed, well said.

Which is a truly immersive, great game.
Jan 1st 2012 6:09AM Erm, I'm having a great time and really enjoying it. Apart from that one quest in Coroscant that shoves freedom of speech RIGHT IN YOUR FACE.
Dec 19th 2011 8:10PM GO Team Yorg !
Dec 18th 2011 12:29PM One of the reasons I avoid Massively nowadays (apart from the eye-burning colour scheme) is that somehow all the articles turn into WoW-bashing ones - even the writers only ever give grudging props to it.
I don't want this site to devolve into the same thing with regards to TOR. While I was installing TOR and putting in my early access code I was happily redoing my WoW sub for another 3 months.
Now for me this is going to be a very quiet time in WoW, the latest patch had pretty much nothing interesting for me in it, I don't raid, pvp, hated pretty much all of the cata 5 man dungeons (yes I started as a tank and pugs completely destroyed any love for them I might once have had) and have no interest in extra grind being disguised as more dailies - I want more content, not more dailies please (and I don't particularly care what my shoulder pieces look like). So TOR has come at the perfect time for me. I'll still be logging in for guild events. But I'll be trying something a bit different, but yet familiar enough to be able to dive straight into for a few months and then I'll see what happens. Regardless I won't be leaving WoW, it can't be long until the expansion come out - can it ?
I don't know if anyone has really labelled TOR as a 'WoW beater', for a start it's sci-fi so should appeal to a completely different demographic. The devs even said they looked up to WoW. Compare that to Rift, which was very aggressively marketed as a 'WoW beater' but which fell flat on it's arse (I didn't even do the free month as I felt it had no soul, ironic really).
So TOR as the game to kill of WoW ? No, but it looks like a damn nice change of pace for a while.
Dec 13th 2011 7:22PM But I still don't know how to mine for fish.....
Dec 12th 2011 3:08PM Has to be Brann. He made Uldum bearable for the short time he was there.
Dec 12th 2011 2:31PM Please keep the dark background. I can't use Joystiq any more as the background is too bright and hurts my eyes. I also have to really limit my time on Massively for the same reason. We don't all read this site in a bright office. The bright background totally ruined those sites for me.
And the massively comments are still rubbish.
Dec 10th 2011 3:55PM If I had a son I would call him Dave Angel - you don't mess with the eco warrior.
Other than that - Skyrim all the way until the Faire comes around again I guess.
