Adobe's CEO: 'we've moved on' from Apple's argument, and Flash still rules {Engadget}

Aug 16th 2010 2:28PM So many people compare the pc/Apple war to the iPhone/Android war...
I was too young to watch the pc/Apple one... but this war Apple seems to make every wrong choice in the name of control.

I have no doubt iPhone will officially get flash, the market will demand it, but by that time iPhone market share will be much smaller than Android. Apple will spin it as "Flash is finally ready to meet Apple standards". Apple fan boys will eat it up.

Droid 2 review {Engadget}

Aug 13th 2010 6:42PM @system22
Can you tell me what was new and revolutionary about the iPhone4? Really, what amazing OS changes did they do to revolutionize the mobile phone market? Let me answer that for you, there were none...
There was not a single new feature on the iPhone4 that had not already been done on some kind of Android phone. Yet! Engadget in there review acted like it was the greatest thing that ever existed in human history.
Side note: Retna display does not count as revolutionary, increasing resolution is a natural progression in display tech. Example, the 1st droid's resolution and screen were better than iPhone at the time, yet Engadget did not upload multiple videos of text looking smoother or video's looking amazing.... With the love of Joshua Topolsky life (the iPhone4)... They just went on and on about how amazing that screen was....

I honestly think most reviewers are bias, they are bias because most of them use the iPhone as there primary phone on a day to day basis. So little thing like menu options being in different places or just UI differences annoys them. At some level they have a hard time admitting that there phone, the one they picked may not be the best.

In all honestly the Droid 2 is not all that specular in my opinion. The fact that it does not do 720p video blows my mind. It should have it.. plain and simple. One of the biggest and most delightful surprises i had with my new Vibrant was the quality of the Video.

Anyway, glad i was able to start a flame war.

WSJ: Google 'agonizing' over user privacy, 'vision document' suggests selling data {Engadget}

Aug 10th 2010 2:31PM Didn't google give users the ability to see and manage all the stored data assoited to there account...

If people ignore this... It is there problem. Also who cares if an algorithm knows that I do searches for starcraft2, or asian porn... it is not like anyone is reading it.

Do you comprehend that "Android" aka Goolge did not make this POS right?
Do you also understand that Android is free for any manufacturer to use.
Do you understand that when eMachine made a crappy windows PC no one went screening at Windows.

There will be great, and there will be bad... that is what happens in a free and open market. People's wallets will decide if this is a success.
It is clearly a piece of crap, but at that price point you never know if it will succeed.

Jul 29th 2010 2:41PM What will cold weather do to the battery?

So could i drive 12 miles, then have the car sit in zub-zero temp for 10.5 hours then drive 12 more miles home?

No one has ever given me an answer to this, i even emailed the Nissan leaf people
