Jan 31st 2011 1:08PM wheres my weekly bloodpact?! still no new post?!
Nov 17th 2010 4:19AM actually its been longer than that... here is a break down of the columnists we have had in the past couple of years, i got these numbers from searching the old blood pact posts, the numbers may not be accurate but i used the first and last "blood pact" post for each
Adam Panshin [25/10/2010 - ????????????????]
Eli Khoury [17/07/2010 - 04/10/2010]
Dominic Hobbs [14/09/2009 - 31/05/2010]
Nick Whelan [23/02/2009 - 04/08/2009]
Zach Yonzon [ Filled in between Chew and Whelan and every other columnist]
V'ming Chew [27/10/2007 - 03/08/2008]
i wasnt playing wow back when Chew was writing and i dont think trying to find even older posts by some other writers is relevant for the discussion.. the problem though isnt just that the writers keep changing, only cause im showing a large chunk of time when one writer has been the lock columnist doesnt mean that they actually wrote a post every week, many of the writers either missed deadlines or went on some sort of leave to deal with one thing or the other..
Zach, i really feel for you.. you have been trying really hard to keep Blood Pact alive and its a shame that most people dont even know who you are, and refer to you as a new columnist even though you have probably done more for locks on wowinsider than others.. i can understand how hard it is to suddenly be required to write a post about locks when you havent had the time to prepare and when its not really your obligation to do so, but even then your posts are great
i have a suggestion for wowinsider, instead of getting a lock columnist, get 3, the first 3 that apply win! that way when one doesnt post it wont matter since the other 2 have something in the works..
i leave you with a joke i heard the other day:
Q: How many locks does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: Why bother? immolate the nearest mage - should give enough light
Nov 14th 2010 6:02AM its been 13 days since this post, tomorrow is the next "scheduled" time for a lock post.. wonder if it will come out or will we have to wait another month for yet another lock columnist to show up fail to meet deadlines and leave...
sorry its just that i have lost all faith in having a steady lock columnist..
Oct 3rd 2010 7:59AM ok this has gotten old, Eli it is true that you have probably been one of the best warlock columnists in a while.. but having a random article once in a while has gotten old...
all other classes have at least 1 dedicated columnist to it, while the hybrid classes have more..
we are starved for posts!
Oct 2nd 2010 3:34AM take seriously are the ones that are "about" players using exploits..
need more coffee
Oct 2nd 2010 3:31AM i think the situation is the same on most realms, i play on Moonglade-Eu which is an RP realm.. i moved to an RP realm from a pvp one partly to play with friends and partly to avoid most of the idiots on my old realm. for a while it seemed like a good thing, people were nicer on Moonglade and name calling was at a minimum.. flash forward 6 months later and its just as bad as my old realm..
i think what blizz should do is have tougher penalties for players that break the rules.. god knows i have (rightclick + report spammed) half the people in TC that break the rules, but it doesnt seem to help.. the only reports that Blizz seems to take seriously are the ones that are by players using exploits (e.g under the stairs in wg) or the use of profanity unprovoked.. and even then only if you write a ticket..
maybe if blizz doesnt have the manpower to patroll realms players should take it upon themselves? spam report a person for breaking the rules? im sure blizz would notice if one guy got 100 reports...
