Breakfast Topic: What's the best race for each class? {WoW}

Feb 21st 2012 9:57AM orc -shaman
tauren - druid
dwarf - hunter
troll - rogue
draenei - paladin
gnome - warlock
undead - mage
human - warrior
blood elf - (shadow) priest
no best race for death knight...though i think its funny to make a draenei one

Breakfast Topic: Does being overgeared matter? {WoW}

Jan 30th 2012 8:47AM these types are usually hardcore raiders that have forgotten the subtleties of playing a toon in a group tactic situation.

In general hardcore raiders are the worst players in the game to run instances with because they not only don't play thier role right, they usually push tank to go too fast, and the have that irritating habit of belittling others around them. You even see it in forums...

because of the way damage meters work, you can pull low dps simply because you want loot your corpses while the speedster dps tools are pulling mobs to 'speed the tank up'

'Look how much better I am than you because my dps meter says so'

Breakfast Topic: Does being overgeared matter? {WoW}

Jan 30th 2012 8:42AM the only problem with over-geared players are if they are massive tools and belittle others who are not doing as much...i never understood the whole 'i'm better than you because my gear is better' mental long as there are no wiped who really cares about high or low dps output

Breakfast Topic: What's the worst trash pull in the game? {WoW}

Jan 29th 2012 8:13AM That first pull in Auchenai Crypts sucks
The first set of stuff in Icecrown Citadel
The wave of undead before the first boss in Drak'Tharon keep
The trash between Ionar and Loken in Halls of Lightning (Stormforged Runeshapers sucks!)

they fixed the bad trash is all of the pre-60 stuff with all of the nerfing...but WC had some tricky pulls...SC had a few...RFD was notorious for chaotic pulls...ZF too

Know Your Lore, Tin Foil Hat Edition: The final boss of Cataclysm, page 2 {WoW}

Sep 26th 2010 7:45PM Perhaps you are taking the Titan's as being champion's of Azeroth against the 'Old Gods' too much at their word. They are certainly champions of order, but life itself is incredibly chaotic. If the 'Old Gods' are the beings that gave flesh too all of the life in Azeroth perhaps they are not all evil like Ch'thun or Yogg' Saron. Perhaps they are the more chaotic and misunderstandable of the Old Gods, and there are others that could possibly have a our interests more at heart. The creation of 'life' as robotic or golemnic seems a bit too mechanical. Perhaps they did not mean for their servants that maintianed the world to become 'alive'. Remember the conversation with the Gearmaster in Borean Tundra and his condescending attitude about returning us all to robotic servitude. The 'infection of life' would be called a 'curse of flesh' to those who feel their experiment had been ruined. But perhaps their botched experiment IS the miracle of life.

I know that's a ton of 'perhaps's but I am not sure that the titans want the creatures of Azeroth to continue as we are. The titans would certainly denigrate those beings that interrupted their ordered perfection. But life cannot flourish in such a rigid ordered world.

The OverAchiever: The 25 most entertaining achievements, part 1 {WoW}

Aug 19th 2010 9:42PM i disagree that key and attunement requirements are bad ideas....i think taking all those out made the game far less challenging and fun...why spoon feed everyone everything...

The Lawbringer: Scope of copyrights {WoW}

May 18th 2010 8:35AM Copyright is meant to be a temporary protection for the creator of a creative work to give them first right at publishing. This promotes the creations of such creative works by allowing them to be the first to profit off of them. There are gaps within this protections--the law allows parodies of these creative works and these works are allowed to be used for educational reasons. Copyright is not and has never been intended to allow permanent absolute control over the material. Once you have published the material, the protections begin to wave. The reason for this is that every creative work in history has been influenced by prior works. To allow an absolute and permanent control over any work would chill the creative process and activities to produce art and literature and music etc would all become subject to lawsuit by the influencing materials,so people would stop producing these necessary inspirations.
