Aug 17th 2010 10:47AM DKs and bears don't use shields; they can't block. Absorb is the only game in town for them.
Aug 12th 2010 10:04AM RE Darky's comment:
Players are douchey enough to each other on their own faction. I can't even imagine the vile, adolescent crap we'd see in chat if opposing factions could talk to each other. Disallowing opposing factions from communicating is a damn good idea and Blizzard knows it.
Blizzard's careful crafting of the faction backstory and giving both factions a common enemy to unite against is the main driver that makes such a huge MMO possible. You can't have a game without two opposing teams playing against each other. That would be boring as hell. But if one side or the other appeared to be the obvious "winner," then the game would become unbalanced because too many players would just join the "winning" side--or not play at all, because what would be the point of joining a game that's already been won?
Aug 8th 2010 8:58PM That's because mages can't heal themselves (unless they're Draenei or have Lifeblood from herbalism). You don't need mob control as much if you can heal yourself. I have an 80 mage and am now leveling a priest and I'm kinda starting to wish I had made priest my first choice.
At first I got all nervous because I couldn't kill mobs before they got to me. Then I realized it didn't matter... I didn't need to.
People are going to be drawn to certain classes and I think that's what they should start with. It's just more fun to play something you think is cool. It doesn't take long to see if it's a good fit for you and if it's not, roll something else. No big deal.
Jul 13th 2010 11:03AM Also... can we please lose the friggin' Macarena?
Jul 4th 2010 7:47PM If the fire talent that repels attackers gets to stay, then so does this one.
Jun 13th 2010 4:59PM Yeah, those are called "scrolls." :)
Jun 13th 2010 4:56PM If you can't make money selling glyphs then you're just doing it wrong. Look up how to be profitable (tons of info out there) and quit bitching. A lot of the mechanics will change when the new system goes into effect, but it's still in place now so take advantage of it.
Jun 13th 2010 4:52PM You are so wrong. As the other commentator noted, instead of a billion cheap glyphs, we'll have fewer but more expensive glyphs.
And there will still be glyphs you can't get until you level up so there's gold to be made across the lifespan of a character progression.
I'll be you it will actually become more profitable, not less.
Jun 13th 2010 4:18PM Oh, you're "stuck" with plate armor, says the mage. ;-)
Jun 12th 2010 2:15PM Something tells me the 12-year-old asshats are exactly what they seem to be: 12-year-old asshats.
