The Light and How to Swing It: How to heal different tanks {WoW}

Aug 16th 2010 8:09AM As a druid tank, the only toon I play, I love priests healing me. I have done some crazy stuff in 5-man heriocs with some good priests backing me up.

So love to all you squishy priests out there! you save my furry behind.

Typhoon Struggle claims world first strict 10-man heroic Lich King kill {WoW}

Aug 12th 2010 3:33AM I solo this raid on my druid in tree form.... Would have done it at lvl 60 but I have to be lvl 80 to get into the raid... sucks.

On a more serious note. Gratz! Good job!

Shifting Perspectives: Pulling 101: Deeper into the dungeon {WoW}

Jul 28th 2010 2:43AM I try as a bear tank to be nice and as fast as I can when I pull. I cast innervate on the casters who needs it etc etc....

But some people... my god. Don't even get me started :)

For the most part though, the people I group up with are very nice and we have a blast running the dungeon. And once in a while, I even get a really friendly healer, and we stick together for more dungeon runs.

I dunno who noone asks if we should run some more dungeons... I guess most people are just doing the instance for daily or something.

Shifting Perspectives: Pulling 101: Assessing the group {WoW}

Jul 21st 2010 3:55AM As a druid tank theres really only one other player i'm concerned about is the healer and his/hers mana - but ofcause if all 3 dps are casters I will wait for them to build up mana or else the dungeon run will take for ever.

Playing a tank, and mostly running 5-mans heroics, the class I hate the most is the Hunters, and they often have problems controlling theire aggro.

On the other hand, I have come across hunters doing 5k + dps and still manage to controle their aggro... therefore I conclude to myself, thats it's the players fault not the class :)

Another note. I have always thought to myself, that a DPS who pulls aggro is a bad dps. The healer and tank "shoulden't" have to worrie about the dps.

Ofcause this is a bit unrealistic approch to the tanking business, but DPS should atleast try to help the tank a bit. I have no problems with a dps pulling a mob and soloing it as long as it dosen't create an unnessesary strain on the healer in the group.

I usually always start a dungeon by hugging the healer :)
There's gotta be love between the healer and the tank!
To all healers out there which have saved my furry ass over the course of me learning the dungeons, thanks for the help!

Breakfast Topic: Why don't you RP? {WoW}

Jul 20th 2010 8:08AM I don't RP due to me having really hard creating a trustworthy character with a history etc.

I have tried to play some Dungeons and Dragons as a board game, and I had a hard time getting into character.

I'm also fairly limited in the time I can play wow each week, which I think might limit my role playing a bit.

Breakfast Topic: Dealing with unpleasant players {WoW}

Jun 8th 2010 11:01AM Its real easy for me.

I tank, so if a dps is bitching like a mage did one time, accusing me of being in dps gear? lol, I simply don't taunt the mobs of them, or ask the healer not to heal them.
After a couple of deaths they log letting us get a new dps in an instance.

:)

If theres to much griefing from the group in general you can always /quit group but personally I tend to stick around anyways and "get the job done" because I know alot of people stays in ques for +30 min.

One thing I find odd, is that I rarely get asked if I want to do another instance. I guess its because people just do the random for the frost badges or something.

Patch 3.3.5: Changes to vote kick incoming {WoW}

Jun 2nd 2010 9:31AM I would like to be able to vote kick anyone I wish in a group.

Even if someone wanted to kick another dude for no reason, the rest of the crew would need to concure aswell.

And I know that I woulden't vote "kick" to anyone not deserving it.

The only thing you would need to implement would be something to make sure you are not able to kick players when you sign up in a group.

Fx. if me and 3 friends sign up for a random dungeon, we would not be able to kick the 5th player unless he afk'ed. This would ensure people not kicking when rolling on loot.

The Queue: The queue {WoW}

May 27th 2010 3:56AM Being relative new druid tank, and my first char ever on 80, I did all leveling from 74-80 using the LFD tool.

Instant group on my server - Silvermoon EU.

I have come across some lamers who pulls the aggro all the time. I just tend to whisper the healer not to heal them on the next pull and then I let them die. After a while it tends to help or they quit the group, and thank god a new dps is instantly there :)

I have meet some really awesome people in the LFD tool, as well so its not all bad. But there are a lot of silent and impatient people running the different dungeons.

But in general people are very kind. Especially one time doing the forge of souls for the first time... I had such a hard time finding back to the dungeon after a wipe. They where very patient with me :)

Just remember - not all tank are epic geared and super l33t. I'm one of them with a GS of 4300.

Last night I ran Utgarde Keep 3 times with the same random group just because I feelt like helping some of the lower lvl players. They where happy with the semi boost - passed on everything.

Breakfast Topic: What story does your WoW subscription history tell? {WoW}

May 20th 2010 8:37AM My payment history is a bit like Andy's even though it dosen't go that far back in time.

I have always played a lot of different games from FPS to Strategy games. CiV 1 anyone?

A friend of mine got into gaming wow from the beginning since he was into roleplaying and fantasy games. I diden't understand what he saw in WoW.

Then in 2008 I finally got convinced to start playing wow. Played for half a year then quit when he quit as well.
Read an article on multiboxing and started to play 5 accounts. Haven't stopped since.

I'm in a great guild now and we have tons of fun and I just love the power of running 5 toons at once. Also the complexity is something I love.
