Mar 29th 2012 2:13AM I suspect the water totem will like fine once we see the actual animation. Earth would look sweet imo if they added an animation similar to the landslide enchant. As for Air, gimme some lightning! But aside from that as you pointed out, yes the models look fantastic.
Mar 27th 2012 5:47PM The point of this column is to share ideas on constructing your own UI and to recieve constructive feedback to improve your UI. Nowhere in any of that is anything that resembles, "GIVE ME YOUR WORK PLZTHX." With the exception of a few fantastic UI artists such as Vhei, very few UI's include any elements that can't be duplicated with minimal effort. Add-ons for the most part have been designed to be very streamlined and user-accessible. Not to be snarky, but if you can't figure out how an add-on works and how to use the majority of its functions and tools, it's probably because you haven't spent the 10-20 minutes needed to figure it out.
Mar 13th 2012 3:12PM I'd be happy to, however I'm really not much of a computer guy and have absolutely no clue how or where to upload my WTF.
Mar 13th 2012 3:00PM Its been my tag of choice ever since table top D&D way back when. (I played the groups token evil character who usually went about trying to secretly undo everything we had recently done.) All I can say is great minds think alike.
Mar 13th 2012 2:54PM It seems my main from my dark tanking days was the name I was using when I activated this account. And as it happens I am Disc/shadow, but I have a completely different set- up for shadow.
Mar 13th 2012 2:35PM I should have said something about this. Bartender4 has the fantastic ability to bind an entire bar to a key modifier. My offensive bar is bound to shift and cc'ish type stuff is bound to ctrl.
Feb 7th 2012 12:12AM I don't understand the negativity several commentors have taken towards "sniping". Sniping heals does not mean irresponsibly wasting mana. It means you are maximizing the use of your entire tooklit and - remember this phrase? - proactively healing. There can only be so much damage going out in a given encounter assuming it is being done properly and it all needs to be healed by somebody. From that point of view, it would seem ludicrous NOT to "snipe", as not doing so is simply wasted potential on your part.
Healing theorycrafting 101: Healers should be ending fights as close to oom as possible.
Let's use heroic 25 morchok as an example. If I, as a disc priest, am an assigned tank healer ONLY cast to keep my tank up, I will never drop below 80% mana. I will show decently on the meters, but my other healers will have to work that much harder and there is that much more room for error. Alternately, I can freely cast PoH when I have the tank topped off and bubble spam when I'm running to crystals. Now I might actually need to pop a shadowfiend, every other healer needs to work that much less, and when we look at meters later I will drown in the guilt-ridden sea that is my conscience because I put in a little effort.
