Gold Capped: GDKP raiding for fun and profit {WoW}

Jun 15th 2010 1:46AM I really do enjoy the concept of GDKP. My guild hosts 2 of them every week for ICC and it's a good place for our raiders who got put on standby to go if they didn't end up in the raid. While the 2nd group isn't as successful, our main GDKP run usually generates about 10-12k per person clearing 11/12 reg and I think 5/12 heroic. Next week we should be clearing the whole thing...I wonder what loot from Arthas will go for.

10 ways to build a healing mentality {WoW}

Jun 6th 2010 4:44PM Yeah...I may not heal, but lag does exist. I fixed mine to a certain extent but before I reformatted my laptop, I was running an average of I'd say 2 frames per second at best. Worse lag would put me under 1fps...let me tell you...necrotic plague isn't fun when you're lagging that much.

Still...I'll have to keep some of this in mind if I ever go back to leveling my priest.

Ready Check: AVR is dead -- what did we learn? {WoW}

May 29th 2010 12:13AM Something else that would be that just outside of fights, have us be able to have a circle drawn around us that show us how far 10, 15, 20, etc. yards is from your position so that you can be accustomed to seeing how far 10 yards actually is.

I mean...I can point to the spot on my floor that's about 5 yards away from me quite easily...but it is, and should be, harder to ballpark it on the fly in the middle of a fight. It's just a lot easier if you know what 15 yards is compared to if you don't.

Ready Check: AVR is dead -- what did we learn? {WoW}

May 29th 2010 12:01AM That's actually a good idea. If they won't let us draw on the game like AVR did, then there should be some sort alternative implemented. People who know the fight don't need things drawn out on the screen for the whole fight, but to be able to plan out like that was extremely helpful and should stay in the game somehow.

Arcane Brilliance: Level 80 mage gearing road map, part 2 {WoW}

May 22nd 2010 7:34PM I'm not particularly fond of it...but I run most of icc 25 every week and still have my pvp cloak >.>

A single piece of pvp gear isn't going to break your dps. While obviously it's frowned down upon to a certain extent, you can do any raid with one on. Just don't wear lots of it.

Choose My Adventure: Warlock advice and stories {WoW}

May 21st 2010 5:59AM I must say, the tale of Selfloathius is quite the intriguing one. I find myself enjoying every moment of it. At the risk of making Mr. Belt play on his new warlock some more, I wish to hear more of this story.

Blizzard to break the AVR mod in Patch 3.3.5 {WoW}

May 21st 2010 5:13AM I used AVR / AVR Encounters for a couple of weeks now. Is it the crutch most people are saying it It's merely a tool for minor convenience. Before I got it...nothing was any harder. So on rotface and putricide I did an extra few seconds of running throughout the entire fight...oh difference. Honestly the only things it really trivialized was the empowered vortex on blood princes and ice tomb placement on Sindragosa.

Like dick...I feel that there are better things blizzard could be spending their time on. Practically every hour I get whispers from people trying to steal my account information (very poorly might I add). And if you ever dare enter the maelstrom that is Trade Chat, you get plenty of gold sellers.

I liked the addon...but I really don't need it to play. It just made a couple things a little more convenient. I always found DBM or DXE basically telling you exactly when defile was going to hit was more game breaking than this. But, do as you will Blizzard. Try actually fixing the gold problem next...maybe just ban anyone who posts something like that in trade...that might help.
