Jun 3rd 2010 8:16AM My current pet hate as a tank: Boomkin that insist on using Typhoon just as I try to round up a group of mobs.
Jun 3rd 2010 8:11AM "1. The player that zones in and immediately announces "BRB", or else just stands there without doing or saying anything. If you are queuing for dungeons, be ready to go. It's just obnoxious to expect the rest of the group to wait on your convenience. If you are busy, or expect to have interruptions, don't queue for randoms. It's that simple. If something *unexpected* has come up that can be handled in a minute or two, say so. Otherwise, it will be a pleasure /kicking you."
Sorry, dont agree on this one, especially with queueing as DPS, where you've probably had to wait upwards of 15 minutes -- as long as it's only a minute or 2 tops AFK, I've no problem (as tank, healer OR dps) on waiting for you to go visit the toilet quick rather than having you play badly for the next 20 minutes because you've been keeping your legs crossed for the last half-hour or more.
May 28th 2010 11:46AM Wintergrasp is a big amplification factor of imbalance IMO -- since controlling WG also means more XP in Northrend (in addition to VoA and the stuff you can buy with WG marks and Stonekeeper shards) that naturally boosts the side that has the bigger numbers, slowly but inexorably.
(Incidentally, the number cap for wintergrasp appears to be 120 on each side, NOT the 100 that's been cited by developers -- 120 of one side will easily beat 70-80 of the other, because the extra 8 groups can easily roll around the zone, destroy enemy vehicles, take out towers etc with the 2 ranks of tenacity being pretty much worthless).
The sooner the side-levelling features planned for Grim Batol get backported to Wintergrasp, the sooner the imbalance there will start reversing itself.
May 28th 2010 11:36AM "The same can not be said for the horde."
Sorry, that's just self-delusion. There's at least as much, and probably a lot more treachery and betrayal on the Alliance side's lore.
May 21st 2010 5:46AM "Beating" the Lich King (HoR version) is just escaping from him, not killing him.
May 21st 2010 5:37AM That bit about strategic thinking is the key here - with 5 Champions, they can easily deal with Tyrannus. So, he puts a Brand on someone? Mage sheeps him or Hunter pops Freezing Trap on him till the Brand wears off (remember, another rule is that CC works) then they go back to DPSing/kiting him.
