Apr 15th 2011 10:57AM I'll chip in with a new one: driving.
For me, driving is similar to raiding as a healer since I need to pay attention to a few data inputs at the same time. Raid frames, the floor, positioning, timers, cooldowns, Mumble take up my attention in WoW. The road, rear and side mirrors, dashboard and conversations are the things I have to attend to at the same time when driving. In essence, raiding has made me a better driver, less prone to ignoring my rear mirror :D
Also, assertiveness and dealing with misogynistic teenage boys. They fear me in my guild :D

Nov 19th 2010 10:23AM Mature filter is only the answer if all that's going on in the guild chat is mindless swearing. You can talk about all sorts of depraved acts without using a single blockable word - and we can often accomplish that in our guild. There is a lot of fun in adult conversation that is not about fitting as many swearwords in one sentence as possible.
Having said that, Enraged Mom should be kicked - she is obviously in the wrong guild for her expectations.
Oct 25th 2010 11:52AM Sometimes, you simply are better than others - in specific areas and ways. WoW is a game that has clear performance markers. You either get out of the fire, or you don't. You either manage to keep the raid alive, or you don't. You are fast and aware enough to tranq shot the abomination, or the tank dies. If person A does not fail at game mechanics, but person B does so repeatedly, I can say that person A is better _at raiding_ than person B. I don't see why people are up in arms against ranking people by skill - unless you suddenly believe that skill in WoW = ability and success in all facets of life.
Now, as far as elitist monologues go, I usually enjoy listening to them - but that may be because I've not had one directed at me.
Aug 25th 2010 2:34PM His voice changes throughout the trailer, starting more human and at the very last 3 words sounding completely like the Lich King. I actually prefer the very modified, deep voice of the LK to the whiny sound of Arthas...
Aug 25th 2010 2:23PM Indeed. I wish there was a scourge faction to grind rep with.... :D
Aug 25th 2010 2:21PM Personally, I found Arthas' voice quite... sexy. It's deep, cold and the emotions are carefully modulated, just as it should be. I love the quote in HoR: 'So, you wish to commune with the dead. You shall have your wish!'.
It's the ICC Arthas quotes that are a bit bland.
