Feb 21st 2012 7:08PM Oh, look, like clockwork, out come the GW2 trolls.
FYI, I'm completely going to play GW2. However, I kind of suspect it's going to be installed, delete, reinstalled on my computer as time goes on. You can scream innovative all you want, but a lot of it sounds rehashed from other games as well. It might be innovative in an MMO space, but let's start with that design. Ripped right off the pages of World of Warcraft, from the massively over-drawn weaponry/armor to the "hi! I'm a massive slut" armor that all the women wear.
As for the questing. It sounds awesome...the first time you save Farmer O'Malley's farm forever! Until the server reset, whereupon you can go save Farmer O'Malley's farm! Again! Oh, but gone are the quest icons over Farmer O'Malley's head, so win!
Please. People, take a deep effing breath. There's not a lot about SWTOR that's going to keep people from playing GW2, and there's a heckuva lot of nothing that's going to drive people away from SWTOR to it either.
Feb 14th 2012 12:25PM With my post literally, or with the sarcasm in which I posted that?
Feb 13th 2012 9:15PM @(Unverified) No. No, I didn't.
Feb 11th 2012 9:00AM Mac here. Actually on my fourth Mac (after a MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac and now another iMac).
Never any problems gaming (beyond the entry level Macbook, which just didn't have very good graphics capability).
My current iMac has an incredibly good graphics card, allowing me to play AoC and Rift on almost all high settings. I can play less stressful games (WoW and Swtor) completely maxed out and still get anywhere from 20-60 fps.
And I bootcamp any game that won't work on Mac OS. I tried Crossover, but so many games had so many bugs it just wasn't worth it.

Shorter Mtor: WAAAAAAAH I HATE SWTOR SO MUCH, must insert it into every.single.conversation.
Give it a rest, bud. Go play, you know, an MMO.
Feb 9th 2012 7:57AM Oh. Ergh.
Feb 8th 2012 3:19PM @Randomessa There is no personal attack. It's probably the same guy who got bent out of shape that the "homophobic white boy contingent" wasn't sufficiently catered to in Dragon Age 2.
Don't worry, yeppers, I'm SURE someone will make a game where you character can run around and gleefully murder gay people, and then you can spend all of your money in their in-game shop.
Feb 8th 2012 3:05PM I am so very intrigued by this game. I hope there's a beta period (I could've sworn I signed up for a promised open beta for all signers) where I can play a little. I'm guessing there's a monthly subscription and, so far, I really like what I've seen/heard, but I do want to know I'm going to crave playing this game before I drop my credit card down.
Feb 3rd 2012 6:50PM @MMOaddict I know, right? I mean, how dare they condescend to people who might be new to a game like this, or act as if they're not all the blazing geniuses that MMOaddict is and make little videos as much for marketing purposes as for actual help?
God, these people! Bioware, amirite, ladies and gentlemen?
Feb 2nd 2012 6:35PM @Mtor And yet, you predicted mass exodus of probably that many subscribers from the game.
How does it feel to go through life so very wrong?
