The OverAchiever: The 25 most entertaining achievements finale {WoW}

Aug 19th 2010 7:28PM My boyfriend has been trying to convince me to do the Wrathgate questline for well over a year. I guess this means it's time to get it done on the two characters I play as mains (one Horde and one Alliance) before Cataclysm comes out.

Breakfast Topic: The things that keep us playing WoW {WoW}

Aug 16th 2010 6:27PM It always bothers me that there still jerks who'll mock and belittle the people who've just started playing the game. I always try to answer those people who ask innocent questions too. I know that had there not been nice people to answer my questions once upon a time I might not still be playing.

The OverAchiever: The 25 most entertaining achievements #5-3 {WoW}

Aug 12th 2010 5:10PM As often as Jaina and even Arthas annoy the crap out of me (See: Culling of Stratholme), that coin damn near made me teary. I guess I'm still a sappy girl in the end.

Thank you! I've enjoyed reading all of these.

Raid Rx: Is that DPS gear or healing gear? {WoW}

Aug 5th 2010 7:21PM Could be horribly misinformed, sure. Especially going from a DPS class to a Healing class might throw things off a little bit, or have to be reminded that there's no need for hit.

However, if you've geared yourself up enough to be running ICC as a healer, it stands to be said that you should have been told this already, or should have asked prior to hit gear being divvied out.

Breakfast Topic: Hacked off by hackers {WoW}

Aug 5th 2010 4:19PM I have never been hacked, thankfully and *knock on wood*, but I watched as my guild members were hacked. The GLs husband was hacked and wiped out the guild bank. There were suspicions as to why (Curse addons having malware in them or something) but in the end, getting his account back was a lot of work. Getting all of the items in the guild bank was almost easier.

I was so terrified that I downloaded the app on my iphone. Later, when I decided to buy the little KT and Panderen pets I ordered the Authenticator as well. I had previously had the iphone app (but it took too long to load and was frustrating to catch before it would change). I tell my own boyfriend over and over again to get one, but the only thing he sees is me being frustrated because I didn't remember to put my keys on the desk and having to dig in my purse to login. I feel for anyone who's had their account hacked. I really do.

Blizzard to patrol Moon Guard's Goldshire for harassment, erotic role playing {WoW}

Aug 4th 2010 3:54PM @Heilig

Your blatant stereotyping of an entire segment of the human population is kind of disgusting. I doubt that all of the culprits in the ERP are *only* LGBT or ever *most* for that matter. This kind of stereotyping is exactly the reason why gamers, and subsequently WoW players, are stuck constantly fighting the "basement dweller" stereotype. Because not all of us are living in our parents basements pissing into Mt Dew bottles instead of using a toilet. Female players are also not all "trolls under the bridge" type either. Mind you, there are some who probably fit every stereotype, but to lump an entire segment of the player base into the ERP category (even if it's only on one server) is kind of appalling.

I applaud your comment.

I recently reported these three for hateful speech. The GM response was absolutely amazing. The part of the screen shot that's missed is the part where one of them states "As long as they don't mess with my junk" and my response was "The gays probably don't want anything to do with your junk." *sigh* The less people who tolerate this kind of behavior at all, the better WoW can be for everyone.

Drama Mamas: Too sexy for your group {WoW}

Jul 30th 2010 6:44PM Too bad there couldn't be another way to get rid of DC/AFKd players. But you're absolutely right.

Jul 30th 2010 6:41PM I truly cannot understand the idea of paying someone to be your tank. I know that queuing as DPS means a much longer wait time than queuing as a Tank or Healer. Even as a Healer the wait time can be long-ish waiting for a tank. Having leveled a couple of toons through the Dungeon Finder this can be arduous to say the least.

However, paying a tank to tag along with you isn't necessarily the answer either. Kicking someone who's DCd and hasn't come back after the unspoken 5 minute-ish rule is safe. An AFKer who hasn't come back in a decent amount of time will also solicit a vote to kick. But to idly sit back and let this kind of behavior continue is absurd. I realize as a DPS I often am unwilling to wait out the queue time (unless I group with a friend who's a healer and/or tank) so I fully understand why waiting sucks so much. It does. Especially if you decide to quest or do dailies and you've got 30 seconds to accept so you're mad-dashing to finish whatever you're doing to accept the invite. In no way is "pay for a tank" the answer. But that's just me.
