Apr 1st 2012 9:16PM I think the best part about this is Kosak's getting such a kick out of using the signs.
Apr 1st 2012 4:32AM That Zergling Teaches Typing demo was hilarious. For a moment I thought Blizzard was just kind of phoning it in this year, especially compared to previous years, but that demo more than made up for it.
Mar 23rd 2012 2:30PM Maybe he doesn't deserve death, but he does deserve to get taken down a few notches. The few token demonstrations of a more merciful side to Garrosh have not made up for all of selfish, bone-headed things he has done.
Mar 19th 2012 3:05AM "We will lay siege to Orgrimmar to remove the mantle of warchief from Garrosh Hellscream's shoulders."
YES. And even if, for some bizarre reason this ends up being an Alliance-only undertaking, I will gladly disguise myself as a Human and lend a hand.
Mar 6th 2012 3:12AM Hahaha...fairly sure that's supposed to be "unstoppable"...WTB an edit button...
Mar 5th 2012 7:46PM Do note that Arcurion can dodge Pistol Barrage. Cursed Bullets hits hard, but Hand of Frost hits pretty hard too. And not only would the Ghouls be locked down by Chains too, but even if they were free, they're very easily killed and aren't a huge threat.
But hey, we both know this is a popularity contest and that logic barely factors into it.
Mar 5th 2012 7:33PM On the same subject of the article, what are people's thoughts on a mercenary guild? Like, a guild of skilled players that "hire" themselves out to players who need, say, an unbeatable tank or an stoppable DPS? Has there been any precedent for this sort of thing?
Mar 5th 2012 5:47PM Of course, people are going to vote for Godfrey AGAIN, despite the fact that he is completely undeserving of his popularity (and now that I've played through both the Worgen starting zone, all of the Silverpine quests and Shadowfang Keep on both level 20 normal and 85 heroic, I can say this with complete certainty), but let's ignore that for a moment and look at the current match-up.
Arcurion's got a hefty advantage here. He can immobilize Godfrey with Chains of Frost, keeping the Gilnean out of melee range and rendering him unable to dodge the ice boulders thrown by Arcurion's minions. This distance is, of course, no issue for Arcurion, who can just spam Hand of Frost all day. And in the event that Godfrey does somehow manage to get his health low, Arcurion can simply start channeling Torrent of Frost and (frost)burn Godfrey down with ease.
Game, set, match. Begone with you, Godfrey.
Mar 5th 2012 5:00PM Transitioning from PvP to heroics is easier or harder depending on what role you're trying to play.
Healers get a bit of a free pass, since healer stats are healer stats, doesn't matter if you're in a dungeon or a BG, and while the lack of haste or spirit might present some complications, a smart healer will still be able to make it work.
DPSers can sort of skirt under the radar; they'll be missing some important secondary stats like hit/expertise, but as long as they're putting out decent damage, they can get away with it.
But tanks? No way is that gonna work. Without sufficient parry or dodge, a PvP-geared tank is just a health sponge, and that makes life stressful for the healer; you might as well be a DPSer as far as your ability to take damage is concerned. Not only that, but the tactics required for tanking mobs is substantially different from trying to tank players.
Anyone interested in making the jump from battlegrounds to heroics needs to consider switching over to a DPS spec first and building up some justice points before trying to tank.
Feb 28th 2012 9:59PM But they are DoTs, and when a DoT is reapplied the damage of the next tick is added to the new application, allowing you to "stack" the DoT. You'll frequently see this with Balance Druids in PvP, who will often cast Moonfire on targets several times in a row to "stack up" the DoT component of the spell.
Granted, I might be getting that wrong, but that's my current understanding of how DoTs work.
