Weigh in on the downtime debacle {WoW}

Nov 11th 2008 11:55PM Aussie + workday ... didn't really bother me much. Well, apart from wondering what was going to happen to the 20-odd Darkmoon cards my mate mailed me as he cleaned out his account. But now I don't even have to worry about them.

Beta Beat: WriteRoom 2.0 {}

Dec 4th 2006 7:35PM While I dislike the general principle of charging for beta software, if you instead take the perspective that you're getting a discount on the eventual full price if you help beta test and fork up your money sooner rather than later, it's a good deal.

I love WriteRoom, and I'll gladly pay $15 to not have to code something myself. While it may or may not be difficult to replicate this app, I would rather sacrifice a few coffees from my week and let somebody else do the work.

Xtorrent Public Beta 2 {}

Nov 19th 2006 9:55PM Is there any reason that this software keeps coming up on TUAW? It's pretty much agreed that, apart from looking nice, it's not very good at what it does and that it's developed by a jerk.

iBikeMount - Attach your iPod Nano to Your Bike {}

Feb 16th 2006 6:22PM Ahhhhhh!!!!

iPod + bike = pain! It doesn't matter if there isn't a lot of traffic in the area around you, odds are there are other people around.

9 times out of 10, you'll have a iBikeRide with no problems at all. And then that 10th time, you won't have the reaction time, or you'll just be happily oblivious as your bike and something else collide.

Jan 11th 2006 1:09AM The data transfer on my .Mac account, alas, says 10GB, not 1024GB. I think perhaps Apple might have realised they couldn't get get THAT much bandwidth for everyone!
