Dec 9th 2011 5:56PM Our guild -- also "casual" (currently 4/8 in DS ... downed normal rag after nerfs) -- did 5 bounces on the first one and then 3 bounces and the next 3. You shouldn't go any more than 4 black phases (we killed him right after the 4th).
It can and should be 1-tanked ... why were you using 2 tanks on 10m, hairy? To help with healing after Psychic Drain?
1 Tank (pally)
4 in melee group (druid, 2 DKs, paladin healer on tank heals)
4 in ranged group (mage, 2 hunters, druid on raid heals)
1 healer (shaman) of to the side to reach both groups to flex heal and focus on dispels
We rotated CDs for the black phase:
1st -- Tranq
2nd -- Spirit Link Totem (feral druid tranq at the end of phase)
3rd -- ToL and Pally Heal CDs
4th -- Tranq and SLT were both back up
Dec 9th 2011 5:50PM According to current World of Logs numbers ... the average HPS for a successful Warlord Zon'ozz normal kill on 10m is just under 60k. If you got two healers who can sustain 30k HPS each for 5 minutes or so without running out of mana ... then go for it!
We had to use three (and it was still dicey at times).
Dec 9th 2011 5:46PM Dispelling Disrupting Shadows causes a knock-back ... not "knocked into the air" ... this is an important distinction because you might knock someone back into the ball (taking the damage by himself) or knock someone out of the ranged group (causing that group to share more damage than normal) when dispelling at the wrong time.
Also ... dispelling damage is pretty high (I want to say 60k) ... so do not dispel if the affected player is low on health ... heal 'em up first.
This is by far the hardest boss of the first 4. Good luck!

Scroll down to Blue response ... not much there but they are aware.

Interestingly enough, according to wikipeida (which never lies), Launchpad was originally going to be the main character of Tailspin. Not sure what happened ... maybe rehab? Maybe Baloo didn't want to retire yet so he wanted another show and Launchpad refused to move tailspin back an hour? Who knows?
Oct 5th 2011 12:10PM Just to clarify -- ^^^ only applies to the Looking for Raid boss defeats. It is still a separate lockout from Normal and Heroics. So you can clear LFR, win something on every boss (or not) and then still be eligible to raid and get loot from Normal or Heroic.
Oct 5th 2011 12:05PM That is not entirely accurate cutaia -- you cannot get gear from a boss after you've defeated it once ... regardless of whether you won loot or not. From the recent blue's FAQ:
Q. How will loot be distributed?
A. Automatic rolls and the Need Before Greed loot rules will apply in Raid Finder raids, just as they do in Dungeon Finder instances. Also, while Dungeon Finder raids aren’t locked, you are only eligible for loot from a boss once per week. This means that if you were present for the defeat of a boss, whether you receive loot or not, then you will automatically pass on loot that drops during later attempts on that boss during the same week.

Aug 15th 2011 11:55AM I think they are naming it Mists of Panderia purely for acronyming reasons. MoP ... they aint used that combo for anything yet. It's got a quality.
