BIG O! SHOW TIME!
The hunter set is looking pretty sweet, the helmet just reeks of malice.
Sep 15th 2011 11:34PM I remember all the account compromise problems that came about in WotLK the following months after its launch. The forums were full of people who had downloaded an addon that seemed legitimate or a well known one from curse or elsewhere that had been compromised as well. Followed by the moronic tide of miscreants posting "Your fault n00b" and "You deserved it retard for sex leg!" all over those topics. Yet, most of those vocal idiots never once tries to offer the sort of information that is presented in this video. Knowing the pain of a compromised account, I'd often try to reassure people I hear that are compromised, especially guildmates and such.
Of the WoW forums, that area of discussion has been cleaned up considerably with draconian measures that are necessary to keep the crap out of serious threads. The solution to this problem is not to insult the people who suffer from it, it was education of the problem and informing people how it might have happened, how to clean up their system, and how to prevent it in the future. Good show, Blizzard.
Sep 12th 2011 11:42PM I stopped playing WOW all together not because it was too hard or too easy to raid Firelands. I stopped playing because all the fights kept bugging out, even now, that made it impossible to progress at all in 10mans. Nothing was more /demoralizing/ than to have Rhyolith activate volcanoes behind him even though he was "fixed" to activate those closer to his front first. That the webbing on Beth did not catch you as you fell down which mean more damage the healers had to deal with followed by her eating a spiderling from across the room. Baelroc doing a decimation blade first thing before we can even get a single healer with a stack to switch in hopes of having him survive.
I stopped playing because this tier of raiding has been buggy, pushing into the Nintendo Hard difficulty instead of just difficult, and simply not worth the effort. When it is hard for a small guild to keep enough people in it to raid with because they are not hardcore enough to deal with this failure in software development on nearly all the bosses then you have no reason to play.
I don't think even these nerfs to the raid are enough to draw me back into the game, there is just of little interest to me in the game. I, unfortunately, do not really subscribe heavily to the achievements metagame. I only really cared about noncombat pets and after the chore of getting to 150, I have nothing else of interest. The remaining pets are alternate faction, too expensive and of little interest for me to go nuts grinding gold.

They were alright with "abandoning" those cities because the content was and is used for its ultimate purpose. Their purpose is to serve as quest hubs and centers for congregation in their respective expansions. So they were used exactly how they wanted and are still used, not to the manner that they were but still see use. Heck, for a long period of time Org and Stormwind were all but abandoned until Cataclysm.

Does that mean just the look and sounds of it will be changed but stats wise it'd still be a bow/gun or whatever?
Aug 26th 2011 6:40PM Don't forget a wicked looking bayonet!
Aug 26th 2011 6:39PM Wonderful, I forgot how awesome this gun looks. I just did Kara to try and get the tier tokens for my hunter and the matching gear for the Demon Stalker set. I may also do naxx for the stalker set as well. This will be awesome for those times a gun is the better stat of ranged weapons and I want something that doesn't glow in the dark. Next, Legacy baby! I want that axe back!
Aug 4th 2011 11:59AM A question for the queue though it isn't WoW related but deals with Blizzard: If they do decide to have the real money auction house in Diablo 3, what do you think Blizzard can do to ensure security and integrity of it? We already have large amounts of hacking issues within WoW of gold selling outfits in other countries that steal people's belongings to fulfill demand. Now that they are adding a legitimate way to sell gold and even gear drops for straight cash, this would cut out the difficult middle part of muleing goods and gold to where they are needed after hacking an account.
As well, the issues in WoW are just virtual goods that are being bought with real money outside the designed system. With this real currency auction house, this would seem to add legal tangibility, destroying the protection of them just being virtual goods.
Jul 15th 2011 6:21PM The 10 man version of this fight is insanely difficult due to the nature of the random number generator and mechanics. He is hard to turn without a huge amount of DPS on one leg which amounts to nearly all of it in 10 man, with the volcanoes stacking debuff and him activating ones so far away it leads to easy to pile up unhealable damage. This fight is just too RNG based and unpleasant.
Jul 8th 2011 5:04PM It may be three years old, but the production value of this video is still pretty phenomenal. The action is intense, smooth with portions of realistic combat and styles of older Japanese kung fu movies or some of the modern American ones, take your pick.
The music is well timed to the action and lyrics quite benefiting of the material of it. As well it features a character of old WoW lore that could be considered well loved in certain manners.
