Jan 31st 2011 11:06AM Scott always dishes out great advice! I wish my guild had enough people and activity to have drama about raiding! As of recent 95% of my members are on hiatus due to burn out. I've only logged in for scheduled runs, guild maintenance, to keep face as the guild leader, and work on my addons.
even in our little guild I would have said the same as your gl. Our only guild rule is stfu or gtfo.
Nov 22nd 2010 1:18PM Precisely my question...
Also when will we see an update on guild leveling? The November 9th one still mentions guild talents which are gone... I'd like to see a comprehensive list of the perks system.
Sep 28th 2010 10:59AM This would inerest me if the android actually had a mobile armory! We have mobile auction house and authenticator. A third party had to make us an armory app. So blizzard has bold face lied about having a mobile armory at all. I'm assuming they meant mobile auction house on android as they have yet to bring armory over.
Jul 27th 2010 8:36AM I kinda have a story... I've been using my wow toons to work on my artistic and writing skills. I've been producing gucomics style strips for my enjoyment based upon my characters existence between rl and azeroth. The strips typically are in a lounge called "the character screen", but can include azerothian adventure as well. My old guild enjoyed one comic that was a sort of 4 panel rage comic where my main rogue and druid were having an ale, the druid was around 75 and it was still in the naxx days. The druid pops out and the third panel he pops back in 80 and beautifully resto'd out in almost all epic gear for raid healing. The rogue simply has that manga style shocked look and a WTFuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! Response. Maybe one day I'll publish all these since the lounge is getting crowded with 10 toons on one server and a dk on a friends server!
Jun 21st 2010 3:27PM A friend of mine and I tried our hand at arena for the first time a month ago. We had the best pvp we could through bgs, the right builds, gems, chants etc. We put in roughly 40 games and never once won a game. I understand we may not be skilled, but with a mmr of 400 we still encountered full wrathful geared players! How is this appropriate matchmaking? We can't even break 500 resilience and we are up against 1k+ people! In 40 games my hunter managed to fire 10 arrows and the rest was stunned or other means of not being able to attack! I see that hunter and mage don't work well, but I'm stumped as to how mmr 400 is matching us with people that obviously had 1800+ ratings at one time! We have since quit arena and went back to the bg's. New players are definitley discouraged!
Jun 8th 2010 8:15AM Just cause by now I'm going mad with the "hacker" term.
Firstly a keylogger could get the information required to crack your authenticator algorythm. It takes 2 or 3 to do this fed into an easy to self program decrypter.
Secondly the "hacker" you reference is nothing more than a script kiddy! These guys wouldn't know a back door from an asshole. They haven't "hacked" you! They have applied a software that gives them information to possibly use for malicious intent. You still run a virus and malware scan. Seeing as this is a key logger if you have made bank or credit card transactions or simply accesed secure data you should monitor these and change passwords over the phone and not access them from your computer until it is once again sterile.
If these kids were hackers then they wouldn't be stealig wow accounts. They would be stealing your money from your bank or selling your cc numbers ($10000 with date and ssv!).
Yes get secure... mac and linux users too. There is a loophole in macs via the bsd core to infiltrate the kernel and render the System dead. 10% and 90% of them are secondary systems in a pc home and linux is a larger but always secondary to pc.
Remeber... locks only keep honest people out.
Jun 8th 2010 7:59AM I find it interesting there is a flash exploit the permits file installation as flash player specifically doesn't support file i/o on local systems. Adobe air does this as it is meant for standalone as3 programs.
As for driving flash out... I could care less, but no complaining when the internets current level of interactivity declines out of fear they might be flashed from a vulnerbility.
For steve jobs... refusing to support one of your biggest and oldest alliances softwar products on your devices and public (albeit passivley) bashing them is bad business. I would be interested to see adobes retaliation. The mac world is only just now begining to use mainstream software (after going bsd core and intel platform), could hurt if the developers start pulling out of the low mac population now!
