Dec 6th 2010 10:41PM Free loot box? I'm in!
Oct 31st 2010 8:26PM Still waiting on my Rogue Legendary shirt. What gives, guys? :\
Oct 14th 2010 2:58PM The reasoning for Deadly Brew over anything else is mainly for those guilds still working on or farming LK Heroic. A free, passive 70% move speed reduction is absolutely invaluable for dropping the Valkyrs asap and frees up your raidmates' GCDs for dps instead of slows. That, and almost all bosses are immune to the move speed reduction so for the most part, it doesn't affect positioning.
Sep 18th 2010 6:19PM Nope. Check the wording on SMF again, the bonus only activates when you dual-wield two 1h weapons.
Aug 22nd 2010 6:09PM That, in addition to Rogue.
Aug 12th 2010 11:36AM If you have a rogue, warrior, or a dk on live, you'll know how this works already. If your resource is an ever-regenerating one like energy, rage, runic power, or now focus, a resource dump is absolutely necessary to keep yourself from capping out on it and essentially wasting even a small dps increase. Basically, look at it like this: if you're capped, you're wasting the *potential* focus you *could've* been regenerating to use on other abilities.
Jul 28th 2010 3:40PM Arpen will never get your target to 0 armor. Even at 100% arpen, you're penetrating their total armor, not reducing it. EA/Sunder actually reduces the total armor your target has, making arpen even more valuable, even if you're capped.
Example: say your target has 10k armor, your 99.9% arpen (it is NEVER 100%) will act like your target has around 1100 armor. If you (or a warrior) drops sunders/EA to full stacks, your target's total armor will only be 8k. After your 99.9% arpen there, the target is considered to have a minimum of 6 armor. That's huge.
TL;DR Arpen affects a target's armor after EA/Sunder debuffs are applied, it's a raid dps increase to drop sunders/EA even if you're fully passive arp capped

Which is exactly what they're aiming to do: get rid of bloat. It's damn obvious that most of the Assassination tree wasn't changed at all, just things moved around here and there, along with keeping the new talents introduced in a previous beta build. The tree looks and plays exactly the same, aside from Quickening being one talent instead of the two it was previously, and Murderous Intent showing the possibility of Backstab spam akin to an Execute phase.
Hoping Assassination gets another CD. They made Cold Blood a little less worthless but they really need to add the caveat of "only consumes CB if next attack wasn't meant to be a crit" otherwise it's a waste. Getting 20en back (from the updated talent) is nice but you get more than that guaranteed just from Relentless Strikes off a 5cp Envenom... it's not on a 2min CD, either. And while I do like Vendetta as a CD, it's essentially just HfB minus the constant need to refresh.
Eagerly waiting a full pass of the Assassination tree.
