Dec 5th 2010 2:03PM I am currently the GM of a pretty good sized guild (we are in that multiple 10's maybe a 25 if were lucky kind of position sizewise). I got the position when the previous GM and nearly all the other officers server transfered because of the imbalance on our server (Horde is outnumbered 4-1 on Cenarius)
so immediately my first day as GM was trying to pull everything back together, patch up a guild that was about to collapse because half of our raiders up and bolted, and then recruid and rebuild us back into a successfull raiding guild.
Outside of my time in the millitary, it was one of the most stressfull times I can recall... but everytime those guys succeed, or some new group gets kingslayer or whatever... I can't help but swell with pride a bit. :-)
Dec 4th 2010 8:53PM @Astrumsenior ~ You said that Garrosh should have "Cut a deal" to get lumber. The thing is, the Horde did cut a deal for trade with the night elves. This deal was brought to and end by the NE's and they refused to trade with the horde anymore. Leaving the Orcs in durotar in a seriously percarious place with regards to supplies and you know, food for their families and such. (The little piddling things) basically the orcs were watching poverty start to rise and watching families and children starting to go hungry because of the cut off of trade and the Night Elves refusal to com back to the barganing table.
Basically garrosh was left with 2 choices, either watch his people starve, or aggresivly start taking what they needed from their holdings in Ashenvale. He chose to not watch orc children starve to death.
Now, that doesn't excuse certain other actions taken by him. When that Alliance warship drifted into Horde waters, while he was technically in his right to execute every sailor on that boat, his decision to sink it and send the survivors back was definitely a douchbag move on his part since it was pretty obvious it wasn't an intentional act of aggression on the part of the Alliance.

Sep 29th 2010 7:23PM Well, remember also though if you will that during Rise of the Horde it was also noted that when the Orcs attacked the Dranei they did it because they were tricked by the burning legion into believing that the Dranei were going to attack and destroy them.
They believed the warnings came from their ancestors and believed that they were fighting in self defense. What they did was horrific and the Dranei did nothing to provoke it (aside from leading the burning legion right to their world) but the motives of those orcs were not of Malice, they were of fear. They didn't just attack out of cold blood, they did it to save their own people... and thus started the long trip down the road to losing themselves.
Jun 8th 2010 2:39PM I don't understand why people think that the scale in Cataclysm is going to be 10 mans being harder. 10 Man raids in 10 Man gear at the moment is much harder than 25 man raids in 25 man gear. Sure, in Cataclysm the numbers on the bosses will increase in 10 mans because now 10 and 25 man gear will be the same, but the fact remains that in 10 mans there is much less room for error since there are fewer people and each person carries a larger shar of the load.
Jun 8th 2010 2:20PM I agree with you to a certain extent, but also wanted to note that Totems don't automatically cover the whole raid, the still have a range that they cover and totem placement is still important in certain fights.
