Jan 31st 2011 9:26PM No UI is ever really rejected for being good or bad. I choose UIs mostly on what I would want to talk about that go-around. Also, stuff gets lost in the massive email box I have, so sending your thing in once or twice isn't going to hurt. Emaaaaaaails
Jan 28th 2011 8:34PM You need to read Bowers v. Baystate. Obviously you didn't. The case makes it absolutely explicit that a shrink-wrap EULA can override the reverse engineering allowance.
Jan 28th 2011 6:45PM You're assuming that the arguments that publishers make against pirates are wrong.
Jan 28th 2011 6:42PM No doubt. That's why we're all just expressing opinions here :D
Jan 28th 2011 6:28PM I've never been comfortable with the "these are people who wouldn't have bought it anyway" thing. It just never sat right with me. A pirate is a pirate, whether he would have bought the game or not -- he still downloaded the game instead of purchasing it.
I'm not saying that you're wrong, but that it's something that never sat well with me.
Jan 28th 2011 4:05PM My real name is Mathew J. Goldsellington.
Jan 28th 2011 4:03PM I do the thing all the time where I write out an obviously correct sentence, and it looks perfect in my mind, as if no one on the planet could ever see it any other way, then come back 6 hours later to what amounts to "Zeppelins are really neat!!!" and slap myself.

Don't tread on me!
Jan 28th 2011 3:50PM I made an adjustment based on this. S'what I get for trusting myself at 11 at night.
